Motivación edit

Part of my infobox improvements. CPU/SoC Microarchitecture is also an important information for CPUs-related infoboxes. Amitie 10g (talk) 16:22, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Weak oppose I think subclass of (P279) could do the job pretty well. These are microprocessor types that entails a lot of structural properties of the processor, for example the presence or absence of some type of cache memory : I’d vote for or the presence or abscence of a graphics parts. If we consider a microarchitecture as the class of all the microprocessors that uses this architecture, this is a perfect fit. « microarchitecture » would then be a metaclass of microprocessor. author  TomT0m / talk page 16:34, 15 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe, but we need to standardize how to use subclass of (P279) and instance of (P31) for hardware, considering how the other projects use them. subclass of (P279) is used by |tipo=at Ficha de hardware (eg. ); instance of (P31), however, is not used, but it is too generic for representing specific and may be used for otherwise in the future. Wikidata should adapt to the other projects and not force others to follow our standards, and the best way is by creating new properties that others will use instead of finding properties that may be used for other purposes by other infoboxes. --Amitie 10g (talk) 18:31, 19 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
