Lydia, thank you for getting these undeleted for me at Wikimania, but it seems like they are still trying to delete them. These were just undeleted since they were being used in an event, and they are now being used at the Wikimania Editathon for Bassel as well. I thought WikiData could be used for work lists. Using Wikidata for Working list? I don't think that this is in the scope of Wikidata If we use Wikidata like a block notes in some months we can add millions of item without control. The only solution that I can think is create a specific property to mark item that don't must be deletet but only for a short period. Ex: property: don't delete before value: 5 sep. 2017, if at the date 5 sep the item is still not notable we delete item, otherwise we delete the property. --ValterVB (talk) 08:10, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

I report here the answer given to Lydia yesterday so we have only one topic: « The problem is that if we don't know that these items are about something of particular that we must keep also if isn't notable, the risk of cancellation is very high. You can propose a property like "Don't delete before" datatype "date" and when you add reference or sitelink or backlink you can delete. I'm sorry but I am not part of this community and I don't understand what you are talking about. This was a collaboration between two language wikis for the 13th birthday of Arabic Wikipedia. This is the first time I have ever organized an event, much less across different languages. Our group usually just uses lists of names, but the ar.wiki people like this kind of interactive (?) table of lists: (scroll down). https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/100wikidays/Levant_women I have also seen this before for Wittylama's Europeana art history challenge https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:Europeana_Art_History_Challenge/Data There is no one to show me how to do this, I had to figure out how to make templates and lua modules, research topics for editing, see about refreshments, publicity, and reserve a room for the event, all at the same time. Someone told me I could do this by editing Wikidata directly, so I probably spent at least 8 hours teaching myself how to make these Q numbers, and making items for the medieval Arabic women poets. The night before the event, I linked all the pages with tables to the event page. At the event, I was sitting next to Rosie Stephenson-Goodknight, and she asked me what she could edit, as she wanted an article in French that she could put on English Wikipedia, but when I showed her the table it had been collapsed completely. The error message said a particular Q number was missing, so I removed that Q number from the table, but it then called out a different Q number, and another and another. Really there is not enough time at an event to try to troubleshoot these things, especially if you are inexperienced. Later, I was able to find out that two items had been deleted without notifying me, and on the wikitrain someone found the logs for deletions reasons for me, and said there was some notability issue. These women should be notable enough by the standards of English wiki, and the links for that were on the same page as the table, as people usually want to check notability before creating a new article. Really, if any woman in any culture is still known 4000 years after she wrote some poetry, I would say something is going on there. Avery Jensen (talk) 14:45, 13 August 2017 (UTC)

Normally before start to edit on project can be useful see at least the basic rule or ask to someone more expert. The rules on Wikidata are very simple, you can read them in Wikidata:Notability. Actually in your case we can exclude point n° 1 and n* 3, so remain only point n° 2: How we can show that the item meet with this point? With reference. If you create a page on en.wikipedia and write only xxx is a poet born in 4000 BCE and death in a unknow date without reference, you think that this page remain or will be deleted? I think that will be deleted and here is more or less the same. How we can know if this person is just a bit notable? Probably you have used some book, web site, magazine, encyclopedia to generate the list, if you add the source that you have used probably these item will be keep because we have something to check that these people aren't normal people (the world is and was full of poet) but someone to keep. --ValterVB (talk) 15:09, 13 August 2017 (UTC)
