Hello. Sven suggested that I nominate myself as well, since it wouldn't be good to just have one local bureaucrat here. I have been active on Wikidata since a couple of days after it opened, and would be glad to expand my areas of helping to include closing user rights requests, and bot requests. Since I have lead many discussions here, and contributed to all the ones that I've found, I am confident that I understand the role that the community would want me to take here. I also do think that local bureaucrats would be good for the confirmations, because we do have a nice community here that doesn't need steward intervention (even though they would still need to do that for de-sysoppings).
Merci pour votre considération. Ajraddatz (Talk) 16:52, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Support Ajraddatz was the other person I emailed. Also highly active in the areas that 'crats need to be familiar with, also a trusted admin. Sven Manguard Wha? 16:55, 3 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose this vote isn't against the candidate, it's against having bureaucrats for now. IMHO it's far too early to elect local 'crats and there would be absolutely not much to do for them. Regards, Vogone (talk) 01:19, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose Basicly for the same reason as I am opposing Sven Manguard´s request. In short I am not going to support any users for beurocratship that do not have any experience with bot-flag requests.--Snaevar (talk) 15:31, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Support – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Raoli (talk • contribs).
- Oppose – Nothing against the user but a while ago we had a discussion about this, resulting in the majority of the commenting users rejecting the idea of having bureaucrats currently. Now not only we have 3 RfBs against that consensus, but have proposals to enlarge their "powers" to allow removing of admin rights and others. This is not serious, really. We can't have a discussion saying one thing and a week later do otherwise ignoring that discusion... For consistency I vote against. — MarcoAurelio (talk) 16:15, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose good work, but just like Vogone, I see no need for bureaucrats atm. Lukas²³ talk in German Contribs 17:12, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose per the reasons I gave in Sven's candidacy. —WFC— 17:30, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- You have a good point, Snaevar - however, I have over three years experience with running bots and closing bot requests over on Wikia wikis, where I started out editing wikis before becoming disillusioned by their model of business and moving over to Wikimedia two years ago. I don't usually reference such experience because what happens on Wikia isn't usually comparable, but in this regard it is. That experience has shown me how to check for mistakes in test runs by the bot, either assist the bot owner or direct them to somewhere where they can get assistance, and deal with bots that aren't performing properly after getting the flag. If you want some examples, I've been on the LEGO Wiki's Bot Approval Group since it was formed in 2010, and you can see some of the requests I've handled here (some of the earlier ones had discussion on different places, such as the IRC). That definitely isn't a complete list, and I can find more for you if required, but I think that shows a trend going back a few years. Ajraddatz (Talk) 16:26, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Along the same lines as Sven, I'm withdrawing my candidacy. There is obviously not consensus for having bureaucrats locally, and we should establish that before these votes take place. Ajraddatz (Talk) 20:35, 6 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
