基本原則

- 名字、姓氏和人名的其他元素必须有自己的项；
- 每个字符串应该有一个独立的项：因此最重要的属性是native label (P1705)。Wassyl不是Василь不是Васіль也不是Vasyl；
- 每个项目只能有一个native label (P1705)。
- 标签应始终以自己的语言书写；当native label (P1705)使用另一种书写系统时，标签必须是native label (P1705)的转写。然后应将原始名称添加到描述和别名中（其他转写也应添加为别名）；
- instance of (P31)简洁：given name (Q202444)、female given name (Q11879590)、male given name (Q12308941)、unisex given name (Q3409032)、double given name (Q1243157)、family name (Q101352)，但不要写“俄罗斯人名”、Belarusian name (Q35002801)等。
- Wikimedia disambiguation page (Q4167410)不是人名，见Wikidata:WikiProject Names/Disambiguation
- 永远不要合并两个不完全相同的项目：family name (Q101352)不是given name (Q202444)……如有疑问，请提出；
- 描述尽可能基本（男性名字），不要添加语言或词源。
属性
People names is a complex subject of study, because of historical, cultural, linguistical usages for naming. Therefore, we have a few generic properties, and a LOT of very specific ones, to be able to manage most cases.
