Clearing of a book item edit

Hey Reclus, what’s been the problem with Toward an Anthropological Theory of Value (Q22222886) [1]? Thanks, MisterSynergy (talk) 05:38, 23 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello! There were two items for the same book. The other one is Toward an Anthropological Theory of Value (Q1218216). Is there a better solution for such cases? --Reclus (talk) 11:59, 23 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
We “merge” both items into one. There is Help:Merge and a handy gadget at Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets (very first one in my case). I’d suggest that you try that by yourself with the item in question. You can restore the version by Edoderoobot from 16:13, 19 February 2016‎ before merging, since you this way do not lose any claims. In case of questions feel free to ask (here) again. Regards! —MisterSynergy (talk) 14:50, 23 July 2017 (UTC)Reply
I did it. Thank you! --Reclus (talk) 15:11, 23 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Translation request edit

Hello.

Can you translate and upload simple:National Archive Department of Azerbaijan and « Category:Archives in Azerbaijan » (Q22029602) in German Wikipedia for that article and for de:Aserbaidschanische Nationalbibliothek (which is the national archive repository)?

(If you have the time and interest, would you translate and upload these articles in Esperanto Wikipedia, over a very long period at your pleasure?

None of them need be long like some of the German-language articles.

de:Liste der höchsten Berge in Aserbaidschan, de:Staatliches Aserbaidschanisches Sinfonieorchester, de:Zentralbank der Republik Aserbaidschan, de:Aserbaidschanische Nationalbibliothek, de:Nationalversammlung der Republik Aserbaidschan, de:Verfassung der Republik Aserbaidschan and de:Aserbaidschanische Sowjet-Enzyklopädie)

Yours sincerely, Matricatria (talk) 08:31, 15 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

IDs from VIAF edit

Hi! I see you have been adding some IDs from VIAF ID (P214), thanks for doing this work. You may try using User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers, which allows importing IDs from VIAF in an easy and quick way. In order to use it, you can create User:Reclus/common.js copying in it:

importScript( 'User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers defaultconf.js' );
importScript( 'User:Bargioni/moreIdentifiers.js' );

If you have any doubt, you can ask me. Bye, --Epìdosis 13:20, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you! I’ll try it. --Reclus (talk) 13:38, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Incorrect use of instance of (P31) edit

Hello –

This edit to "Auf den Holln 1–3" (Q15303877) was in error. The properties instance of (P31) and subclass of (P279) define key ontological relationships. Because subclass of (P279) is transitive, such errors lead to numerous false inferences, such as Auf den Holln 1–3 (Q15303877)instance of (P31)occupation (Q528892). Please review the usage instructions on these two properties, and Help:Basic membership properties. In particular, note that all instances of a class must be of the same type. There is often another property better suited to expressing the relationship you had in mind; you can search for one here. In this case, has characteristic (P1552) works better. Thanks!
