some help tools edit

Hi Sawol! You may add some help tools to user:Sawol/common.js . Please see User:Rotsaert8000 (in Esperanto), Wikidata:Tools, and Wikidata:Tools/User scripts. On the user:i18n-page you will see all WD gadget links. It takes time to see what fits most of your interests. Good luck gangLeri לערי ריינהארט (talk) 19:20, 23 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Reverting commons cats edit

Can you please explain why you are reverting my addition of commons categories? Whatás your problem with the commons categories? Teemeah (talk) 13:26, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

I matched categories items with the corresponding commons categories. But you connected articles items with the corresponding commons categories. If categories items exist, it had better match categories with commons categories. Sawol (talk) 14:50, 24 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Commons category edit

I am not sure I understand the reason for this revert. Can you explain ? Jheald (talk) 13:51, 12 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

It already had link to commonswiki. Sawol (talk) 08:03, 14 December 2015 (UTC)Reply
It should have both -- compare the table at Wikidata:Project_chat#Closing_in_towards_1_million_links_from_article-items_to_Commons_categories.
Because of confusion about Commons links, and the strong preference of some Commons users for sitelinks to go from Commons categories to articles, in which case it is impossible to add a sitelink from the Wikidata category item, statements for property P373 should always be added if possible, regardless of whether or not there is a sitelink. That way we can at least be certain that all Wikidata items associated with a Commons category will have a P373, even if we can't be sure whether or not they will have sitelinks.
I am therefore reverting your change. Jheald (talk) 20:01, 15 December 2015 (UTC)Reply

Removing redirects and repurposing items edit

Hi there!

I just saw your edits here here and here.

In all of these edits you remove a redirect, which would be perfectly fine, if you were not also then changing the topic of each of the items.

The first item in question is Category:South Korean athletes (Q7819570) which was originality created with the site link ruwiki:Категория:Легкоатлеты Южной Кореи which translates to "Athletes in South Korea". once you removed the redirect you added a site link to enwiki:Category:South Korean male athletes which is a different category!

Because of this I will revert you actions in all of the cases and create new items for the data you have added to the incorrect place!

Revert edit

Hello Sawol,

you reverted one of my edits at a item about a highschool in Japan. What is wrong with this description. I think it is better as no description. Please let me know how you would describe this item in German then I can look if I can improve my descriptions. -- Hogü-456 (talk) 16:38, 14 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

My correction was incorrect. Thank you for reverting it. I look better next time, before adding a description again. Now I understand your revert. I dont know if a revert is the best way to change it. I think in cases like that you can change the description without a information of the user. --Hogü-456 (talk) 18:10, 14 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

Korean templates edit

Hello.

Can you create and upload en:Template:Baku Metro and en:Template:Baku landmarks in Korean Wikipedia?

Yours sincerely, Karalainza (talk) 22:03, 22 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Pedro Henrique de Santana Almeida is Brazilian footballer edit

Why you've reverted Pedro Henrique de Santana Almeida (Q18387346)country for sport (P1532)Brazil (Q155)? Ghuron (talk) 03:51, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am sorry. I have misunderstood something. Sawol (talk) 04:29, 18 February 2020 (UTC)Reply

Reverting or modifying edit

Hello, I notice that you revert many modifications. Maybe it would be better if you modified rather than reverted, with a line of explanation of the change made. Or if you prefer to revert, add a line on the talk page. Otherwise it is difficult to understand what has been altered and why. Thanks ! Baronnet (talk) 12:48, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

I don't agree with you. And that is just alias. Don't speak thoughtlessly about constructive. Sawol (talk) 03:32, 7 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Korean swimmer edit

Hi Do you speak Korean and read hangeul ?--Arorae (talk) 03:27, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Arorae. Yes, I can. Sawol (talk) 03:29, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Kamsa hamnida

I just want to know why there is no entry in Korean language about Hwang? too young?--Arorae (talk) 05:38, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Well, I don't know why. It seems that Hwang Sun-woo is little known to the public. South Korean press doesn't focus on up-and-comers but on Olympic medalists. It is just my opinion. Sawol (talk) 07:00, 19 July 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks again for that reply

Male names edit

[1], [2] Why did you revert my changes when there are also women carrying those names? Jeon Jong-seo (Q52159701) or Jiho (Q21710585). --Christian140 (talk) 12:33, 22 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Jong-seo (종서) and Ji-ho (지호) are more common for males. Two actresses used male given names. Do you think that if at least one woman has a male name, the name is the unisex name? Sawol (talk) 14:02, 22 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Yes. Especially on wikidata. There are bots here that assign the gender of people based on their names. Because most Korean names are actually unisex while on wikidata, the name items are gendered, many people items show a wrong gender because bots added the gender based on gender information of the name properties. --Christian140 (talk) 05:45, 23 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

VIAF in Q112530856 edit

Hello, did you know that the VIAF ID will get added soon again by some bot, because you removed it instead of changing its rank to deprecated? Just saying. Vojtěch Dostál (talk) 18:49, 8 December 2022 (UTC)Reply
