You did edit after having posted this message. Is the exemption still needed?--Ymblanter (talk) 19:48, 11 September 2018 (UTC)Reply
No, i requested an exemption for all projects at meta, so i think this one isn't needed anymore. --Tidoni (talk) 10:28, 12 September 2018 (UTC)Reply

User:TidoniBot edit

Why do you pull info from IMDb while that user-generated site is considered to be an unreliable source of info? The Banner talk 11:20, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

If there is another source saying something different, the imdb info can be marked as deprecated, otherwise you wouldn't be able to add imported from any Wikipedia, hence it is user generated. Or is there something else i am missing? --Tidoni (talk) 11:27, 26 June 2019 (UTC)Reply
I reverted your bot today for a third time in the same object. This birth year is wrong! Please stop making the same edits again and again. --Mirer (talk) 22:56, 3 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
And you're right: the automated imports of content from any wikipedia is as bad as those from imdb. There will be the time, when Wikidata will have to stop this and verify what get's imported here. --Mirer (talk) 22:56, 3 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
But then, why not mark it as deprecated, so others don't try to add the date again. By that it is clear that the info from IMDB is not as believable as the other sources, but that a wrong birth date is out there. --Tidoni (talk) 06:50, 4 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Yes, please set incorrects to deprecated rank. Otherwise, people, just as much as bots, may try to add it not knowing that it was already found and deemed incorrect. See Help:Ranking for more information. --- Jura 18:40, 4 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Maybe it would be wise just to don't add bullshit. I don't see any positive in adding content that is plain wrong and stems from an unreliable source.
Bullshit like this will kill the reliability of Wikidata ... --Mirer (talk) 01:00, 5 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

bug report edit

Your bot add claim which year of value is 0 in Gregorian to several items (example). If birth month and birth day are wrote in source but birth year isn't, use birthday (P3150) instead.--本日晴天 (talk) 11:01, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Yes, I noticed this some days ago and fixed it. Right now this shouldn't happen anymore. --Tidoni (talk) 16:27, 7 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

Gregorian BD edit

Please refrain from adding Gregorian birthdates when Julian ones are already specified. [1] This actually is the same date, but you add this as an alternative. Your edits are among the worst ones in the project. Sealle (talk) 01:38, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply

The Gregorian Birth date is an alternative Birthday-format. If wikidata would calculate the other birthdayformat automatically this would be redundent, but as of now this is not the case. So right now a Gregorian version of the birth date adds some value to the entry. --Tidoni (talk) 09:54, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
Your edits will be automatically reverted soon or their status will be degraded to deprecated. Sealle (talk) 09:59, 24 July 2019 (UTC)Reply
  • I restored the additions to Q537854. @Sealle: do not delete referenced statements. I also noticed that the reference for the Julian date is actually one for the Gregorian date. --- Jura 03:53, 30 August 2019 (UTC)Reply

TidoniBot Library of Congress Authorities reference edit

Hi,

Can TidoniBot add Library of Congress authority ID (P244) in reference when he adds Library of Congress Authorities (Q13219454) as a reference ? It's just easier to check. — eru [Talk] [french wiki] 07:47, 2 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the tip, I implemented it and am currently testing it. --Tidoni (talk) 09:25, 6 November 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your bot is broken edit

He keeps adding wrong dates for birth and death, making double statments and creating annyoing errors. Please stop this bot. HiyoriX (talk) 12:40, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@HiyoriX: Hi, can you give a link to an entry where such an edit was performed? Otherwise it is hard to know what sort of action you are refering to. --Tidoni (talk) 12:56, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
Here some examples: Special:diff/1336770565, Special:diff/1004637224, Special:diff/1306812556, Special:diff/1004666826, Special:diff/1348743711, Special:diff/1348437985, Special:diff/1348359903. The bot sometimes do it's job, but in many cases it does damage. HiyoriX (talk) 16:33, 27 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@HiyoriX:
Special:diff/1336770565: All the other references state 1988, but on wikidata it says 1987. Correct Edit
Special:diff/1004637224: That edit is over a year old, Find a Grave is no longer being added.
Special:diff/1306812556: 2010 Seems to be the correct year, but in LCCN 2020 is stated. Entry created by the bot should be marked as deprecated.
Special:diff/1004666826: Same as No. 2
Special:diff/1348743711: Not sure what should be wrong with this one.
Special:diff/1348437985: Not sure what should be wrong with this one either.
Special:diff/1348359903: 16. January seems to be the correct date, but LCCN states the 21. so the entry should also be marked as deprecated.

Incorrect date parsing edit

TidoniBot adds the date 1993-02-01 (Special:Diff/1360282292) which does not match the LOC source that it references. Please fix. –LiberatorG (talk) 18:42, 13 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the tip. I changed the bot and tested it on this example, which he now does not edit anymore. --Tidoni (talk) 17:19, 15 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Ordinals on episode items edit

Hi Tidoni,

series ordinal (P1545) on season statements of episodes refer to the number of that episode within the season. I reverted your edit and change it here (it's S4E18, so the ordinal should be 18, not 4). Also, I fixed all episodes of Shameless and Ally McBeal. There are few of yours left at Wikidata:Database_reports/Complex_constraint_violations/P4908#Ordinal_qualifier_would_generally_be_unique_within_season. --- Jura 09:59, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
