The English page for "General Electric F404" incorrectly links to the Swedish "Reaktionsmotor 12", it should be linked to [[sv:General Electric F404]]. I have hardcoded this in the article itself since it refuses to take the correction when I try to fix it in the database here. @BP OMowe: You created a redirect from sv:General Electric F404 to sv:Reaktionsmotor_12. Thus, the interwiki links appear on the right page. Isn't this your goal? --Zuphilip (talk) 07:20, 8 January 2014 (UTC) That is not my goal, as the articles are about two different topics - the English is about the F404, with a subsection about the RM12, while the Swedish is about the RM12 with F404 as a subsection - but the wikidatabase treat them as identical which will cause problems as soon as either subsection gets expanded enough to warrant its own article. Also note that I hardcoded the links within the articles as the wikidata refuses to accept my attempts to correct the linking. However, one could create a new object for the RM12 with a link to the Swedish wikipedia. But then there would be no interwiki links in the Swedish wikipedia. Are you saying that the links in wikidata can not lead to redirect pages at all, or that redirected pages can not be redirected? The F404 (I'll use abbreviations throughout this comment rather than the full names and links) will eventually get it's own article in Swedish, while the RM12 might get it's own in English, especially if the upgraded version is accepted for the JAS39E/F series. The solution I suggested is to have the English F404 linked to the Swedish F404 and the Swedish RM12 linked to the English RM12. Then the English RM12 is redirected to the English F404 and the Swedish F404 is redirected to the Swedish RM12, possibly straight to the relevant subsections. This is a common problem with the interwiki-links, as a word in one language can have several different in others and vice versa. At the moment it is not possible to add a redirect link (by hand), but I have forgotten if this will be implemented or if it is not wanted. There are some redirect links in objects, e.g. Fire (Q5451294). In the Dutch Wikipedia "Witlof" doesn't have a link to the portuguese wikipedia. In portuguese this vegetable is known as Endivia. I understand the misunderstanding, because "Andijvie" is a different vegetable in Dutch. However in this "Witlof" in the Dutch wiki should point to the portuguese "Endívia" Why should nl:Witlof point to pt:Endívia if they are different? The scientific names for them are "Cichorium endivia" and "Cichorium intybus var. foliosum", where the second one splits up in several objects. Moreover, on nl:Andijvie it is written: "Endive ( Cichorium endivia ) is an annual plant leaf that is closely related to Witlof ( Cichorium intybus var. foliosum )." There is the same problem for others islands / communes in France like : Île d'Arz (Q3593315)/Île-d'Arz (Q71713); Île aux Moines (Q3593280)/Île-aux-Moines (Q71356); Molène (Q2428252)/Archipel de Molène (Q2860213)/Île-Molène (Q223711); Bréhat (Q2083316)/archipel de Bréhat (Q478104)/Île-de-Bréhat (Q272373); Aix Island (Q2061380)/Île-d'Aix (Q214568); Hœdic (Q8857167)/Hœdic (Q71028); Houat (Q13837005)/Île-d'Houat (Q71582); Île d'Yeu (Q1970151)/L'Île-d'Yeu (Q7134) and probably a few others like Mont Saint-Michel (Q20883)/Le Mont-Saint-Michel (Q20892). If my cleaning work on île de Sein (Q228472)/Île-de-Sein (Q13416868) is right, I will do the same for the others cases.
