  •   Comment. Someone will eventually show up and say that we should have an item for the thesis and that it is there that the new property should be used, not on the author's item. I am going to be that someone. Thierry Caro (talk) 16:20, 16 October 2017 (UTC)
  • @Nomen ad hoc: I agree with Thierry Caro. Do you have a reason why you prefer not to create items for the individual thesis documents? ChristianKl (talk) 11:33, 30 October 2017 (UTC)
ChristianKl: I'm not sure a simple diploma thesis, who would not be used as a source, would match criterias. Besides, there's no equivalent property for PhD thesis abstracts. Well, AP are ofen referred to this abstract, and this ID would be useful to identify them better. Nomen ad hoc (talk) 11:49, 30 October 2017 (UTC).
After our notability criteria's items that are clearly identified conceptual entities that can be described with serious public sources are notable under (2). From a data model perspective it's clearer to create this property with the domain of thesis than with the domain of people. ChristianKl (talk) 13:44, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
ChristianKl: OK. But I'm not sure to be able to propose a property of this kind alone... Could you please help me? Nomen ad hoc (talk) 16:09, 31 October 2017 (UTC).
@Nomen ad hoc: I created an item for the thesis La Mise en archives du trésor des Chartes (XIIIe-XIXe siècle) (Q42432754) and modified the proposal accordingly. Does this structure work for you? ChristianKl (talk) 16:14, 31 October 2017 (UTC)
It sounds me perfect! Thank you, ChristianKl. (Just a worthless detail: it's not a PhD thesis that grants the title of doctor, but the one of "archivist paleographer" :).) Is is necessary to have another week of debate? Nomen ad hoc (talk) 16:24, 31 October 2017 (UTC).
