Motivation

Hufvudstadsbladet (HBL) is the highest-circulation Swedish-language newspaper in Finland. Having a topic ID for this paper would allow us to connect Wikidata items to news topics on Swedish-speaking Finland, the Swedish-speaking world in general, Finland in general, and oddly enough, Saami topics. As far as I can tell, we only have one other external ID from a Swedish newspaper (Dagens Nyheter topic ID (P3509)), so this would also expand authority control coverage in Swedish. From a quick search on Google, there are 116 000 results from the search site:hbl.fi/tagg/ , so there will be lots of topic IDs to add for years to come. -Yupik (talk) 00:59, 22 October 2023 (UTC)
