Doel
Het doel van dit project is het bespreken, definiëren, verzamelen en documenteren van benaderingen om de narratieve kenmerken van verhalen in verschillende media (bijv. volksverhalen, boeken, strips, films, hoorspelen, performances, games, enz.) te duiden.

De gebeurtenissen die plaatsvonden in de fictieve wereld waarin het verhaal zich afspeelt.

Plot
De gebeurtenissen die in het verhaal worden verteld in een bepaalde volgorde en met een bepaalde nadruk.

Verhaal
Het standpunt en de stem van waaruit het verhaal wordt verteld. Kenmerken van de verteller kunnen worden aangegeven via narrator (P2438) of, als de verteller een personage is, op het item voor het personage.

Een verhalend werk kan worden beschreven met betrekking tot ideeën en noties die erin worden uitgedrukt:
- de centrale gedachte (theme (Q1053916)) --> main subject (P921) op het werkitem
- een gemeenschappelijk verhaal dat in deze vertelling vorm krijgt (stoff (Q42109240) - bijv. Er zijn nu twee soorten entiteiten die worden gebruikt om vertellingen te beschrijven: fictieve entiteiten en verhalende werken

Eigenschappen voor fictieve entiteiten:
Een fictieve, mythische, folkloristische of legendarische entiteit moet als zodanig worden gemarkeerd door er een (indirecte) instantie van fictional entity (Q14897293), mythical entity (Q24334685), folklore character (Q25810847) of legendary figure (Q13002315) van te maken (zie Wikidata:WikiProject_Fictional_universes). In alle andere verklaringen kunt ue dezelfde eigenschappen en items gebruiken die kunnen worden gebruikt in vergelijkbare verklaringen over niet-fictieve entiteiten.
