constraints
editThis property currently carries two constraints: used as qualifier constraint (Q21510863) and used as reference constraint (Q21528959). I assume the intended meaning is that the property can be used on qualifiers and references, but not for the main value of a statement; however, the actual interpretation by the checkConstraints gadget is that the property cannot be used anywhere at all (it violates one or both of the constraints wherever it is used). To fix this problem, I suggest removing the constraints.
(Pinging Yair rand, who kind of predicted this problem in phabricator:T102749#1833170. Feel free to open a task for supporting this, especially if you know of more cases than this one.) --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 16:36, 19 December 2017 (UTC)
Notified participants of WikiProject property constraints, The Source MetaData WikiProject does not exist. Please correct the name. --Lucas Werkmeister (WMDE) (talk) 18:54, 15 January 2018 (UTC)
- Same problem as on Wikidata_talk:WikiProject_property_constraints#Use_as_value/use_as_reference/use_as_qualifier_constraint_>>>_not_reference,_not_value,_not_qualifier.
--- Jura 19:42, 15 January 2018 (UTC) - When following the guide at Help:Sources to add a reference with an archive url (archive URL (P1065)) and date (archive date (P2960)), the result is a confusing warning that states "The property should only be used as a qualifier.". Looks like the issue is still not resolved. I've gone ahead and removed the constraints for the time being, until this can be resolved properly. --Krinkle (talk) 23:26, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Following Lucas' suggestion in the thread I mentioned above, I tried a setting the might allow it to work correctly.

before 1980
editI removed the constrain before 1980 as we have several professors with their works moved to archives far before 1980. Probably 1980 was added with the assumption all archives are digitl, but we have papers too --Hannolans (talk) 20:22, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
