Steak: Danke für den Hinweis: der Bot denkt sich gar nichts. Für die englische Bezeichnung und Beschreibung des Eintrags sieht er beim jeweiligen Verein nach, wie dieser auf Englisch bezeichnet wird, beim FC Bayern also unter FC Bayern Munich (Q15789). Wenn dann da jemand zum Zeitpunkt des Nachschlagens el mejor equipo eingetragen hat, so wird das leider übernommen. Hallo User:Steak: im Grunde stimmt der Link schon - das ganze ist ein URL-Problem, das ich korrigieren muss. Wenn man den Link https://www.dfb.de/bundesliga/spieltagtabelle/?spieledb_path=%2Fmatches%2F48643 händisch eingibt (oder wiki-verlinkt), funktioniert er, verlinkt man ihn in einer Source, werden jedoch alle % durch %25 ersetzt und das geht schief. Ich muss also alle %2F noch durch / ersetzen (erst mal einen Bot dafür schreiben :-( ). --Balû (talk) 12:34, 24 July 2017 (UTC)

The country can be queried via location (P276), and the more precise statement to indicate football is instance of (P31) association football match (Q16466010), which is already set in every item. Steak (talk) 22:06, 14 July 2017 (UTC)

Single vs Multiple periods as Chancellor

Hi Balû. In Special:Diff/552028263 (and following) you have collapsed the three position held (P39) statements for Angela Merkel (Q567) being Federal Chancellor of Germany (Q4970706) into one. I'm curious as to the reasoning behind this. It is my understanding that each of these is technically a separate period, and that she was elected separately by the Bundestag again each time — e.g. in https://www.bundesregierung.de/Content/EN/Artikel/2013/12/2013-12-17-bundeskanzlerin-wiedergewaehlt.html Having only a single position held (P39) for all three periods also makes it impossible to add separate qualifiers to each — for example, if we were to want to record each individual elected in (P2715) event. --Oravrattas (talk) 05:46, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

@Oravrattas: i do so because of Wikidata:WikiProject_Heads_of_state_and_government. In person section there is qualifier series ordinal (P1545) which applies to the complete term of office. Then there are examples of others, see presidentship of François Mitterrand (Q2038) or George W. Bush (Q207) with two elected in (P2715) events. The use of series ordinal (P1545) also seems to be quite inconsistent across different countries, not only with cases like this, but also where someone returns to the position after someone else has been in office. For example if Person X is 6th; Person Y is 7th; if Person X returns, in many countries they are still only counted as the 6th, and Person Z who comes next will be the 8th. In those cases we would have two distinct position held (P39) statements for Person X, even though each would have a series ordinal (P1545) of '6'.

In general I think this is a useful qualifier to add when this form of numbering is known/used, but I don't think it should be a determining factor as to the wider modelling.

I picked randomly only one out of the query: Louis-Mathieu Molé (Q1371497) - there are two sections, because there are two terms of office that don't succeed. From 22 results remain probably only few. And there are hundrets or thousands of uses in the collapsed way. --Balû (talk) 08:14, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

Yes, there are definitely problems lurking in those cases. Some of them appear to be attempts to distinguish between someone starting as Acting Prime Minister (or equivalent) before properly holding the role (which I don't think we have a consistent way of expressing yet.) A few other seem to have been created by bots from Wikipedia infoboxes, and which got confused by separate items (e.g. President and Vice President) resolving to the same page. At least two (including the Louis-Mathieu Molé (Q1371497) example) are for someone only holding a position for a single day! (I've adapted the query above to ensure that these are actually two separate P39 statements). This will be a useful query for cleaning all of those up. Some, however, are quite deliberately modelled in this way: e.g. Ali Abu al-Ragheb (Q2509606) which matches how his infobox is displayed across multiple Wikipedias (e.g. ar: علي أبو الراغب, en:Ali Abu Al-Ragheb, fr: Ali Abou Al-Ragheb), and I do not believe we should collapse cases like that into a single position held (P39). Initially creating a single statement spanning multiple terms is certainly acceptable when we are not also storing more information about each incumbency. But, as we add richer and richer data, or want to enable more precise queries, that approach will show its limits, and will need to be migrated to separate statements. As such, when there are separate statements already correctly in place, I think we should leave them as such. However, as this is now a wider conversation that just the two of us, perhaps we should move it over to the Project page? --Oravrattas (talk) 09:03, 6 September 2017 (UTC)

In TSG 1899 Hoffenheim versus VfB Stuttgart 2014–15 Bundesliga (Q30007206) hab ich das vor längerer Zeit mal beispielhaft für eines der beiden Teams mit participant (P710) umgesetzt . Tore kann man modellieren wie in 2018 FIFA World Cup Final (Q31043671), Gelbe und Rote Karten (und ggf. auch Auswechslungen) wie in 2010 FIFA World Cup Final (Q208401) mit significant event (P793). Generell gibt es aber noch keine diesbezüglichen etablierten Standards der Item-Modellierung. Steak (talk) 08:36, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

Hinweis:

• In der Saison 1965/66 gibt es 308 Items zu Spielen, es sollten aber nur 306 sein.
• In der Saison 1994/95 fehlt das Spiel Frankfurt vs. Bayern.
• In der Saison 1973/74 fehlen noch 52 Partien.
• Ein paar neuere Saisons sind auch nicht komplett, aber ich denke das weißt du.

@Steak: die neusten Saisonen habe ich 2016 nicht gezogen. Muss erst mal schuen, ob ich die alten Scripts noch finde und ob die noch passen. Die anderen Saisonen sind nun komplett. Problem ist noch, dass manche Spiele eigentliuch Wertungen sind. Hab noch keine Idee, wie man das eintragen soll.

Das mit den Mannschaftsaufstellungen lass ich erst mal. Deine Lösung gefällt mir nicht wirklich. Außerdem müsste ich dazu auch erst mal die Daten ziehen.

Ich werde wohl erst mal die Ligentabellen anderer Ligen vervollständigen, bzw. hinzufügen oder auch überhaupt mal erst die Ligen und Saisonen anlegen. --Balû (talk) 17:56, 30 September 2019 (UTC)

German nationality

I see you are removing Germany as a nationality but not replacing it with the historically correct version of the country, they may have lived through the Reich, but were born earlier so you should be including the earlier versions. --RAN (talk) 13:54, 4 March 2020 (UTC)

@Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ): Latest with the Law on the Reconstruction of the Reich (Q1518983) from 1934 they all were citizens of German Reich. Before they were citizens of a "Bundesstaat" of the "German Reich". country of citizenship (P27) therefore must contain more than one value, I know.
