Extending Wikipedia IFTTT web service to support RSS feeds

edit

This feature was brought about by Stephen LaPorte, the Wikipedia IFTTT web service developer. He decided that the Wikipedia IFTTT web service should also support RSS such that users of this product will not need to go through https://ifttt.com to access this information. The main idea here is that there should be a means by which users can subscribe directly to the RSS for each feed(basically triggers) and then get updates using their feed readers. This task was assigned to me and its almost complete. Once its done, it will be deployed to the main app and then tested live and will be used by the users of Wikipedia. --Alangi Derick (talk) 16:32, 11 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Merging

edit

Hallo X-Savitar,
When you merge items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It helps with merging, gives the option to always keep the lower number (which is older, so preferable in most cases) and removes the need to file a request on Wikidata:Requests for deletions.

Hello cycŋ,
Thanks very much for the help. Also, I see that one of the items are not longer available, seems you have merged it already. Thanks. --Alangi Derick (talk) 15:12, 15 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
