Motivation

We are developing the en:Template:Podcast platform links template for English Wikipedia, which uses Wikidata similar to the authority control template to provide external links to a given podcast on different platforms. However, properties for many popular platforms do not yet exist on Wikidata yet, so we would like to add them (this proposal will be one of several). •  Comment Have not figured out yet how to link with only the numerical ID (eg 20760) but I would think it must be possible... (and damn these websites not accessible in the EU :p) Jean-Fred (talk) 22:50, 21 December 2020 (UTC)
•  Support with the current ID scheme. No prejudice against changing it to numeric-only if someone can figure out how, but note that https://www.radio.com/podcasts/this-american-life-20761 succeeds while https://www.radio.com/podcasts/asdf-20761 fails, so the obvious way to remove the alphabetic part of the slug won't work.
