More "graffiti" and "vandalism"

Unclear notability (this is not a graffiti item). It could be useful upon the introduction of Structured Data, but I don't know if it would be worthwhile (although it would probably be possible to connect this to OpenStreetMap). Jc86035 (talk) 15:58, 7 January 2019 (UTC)

(with respect to Q57741981 Mahir256 (talk) 07:39, 8 January 2019 (UTC)) Traffic lights are often the target of graffiti/vandalism. I think it might make more sense to clean up the item and then merge it with... wherever traffic lights happen to exist.Lazypub (talk)
@Lazypub: How would these be useful for Trento (Q3376)? That there are incidences of flyposting and graffiti in Trento does not mean that we have to or should put the images in Q3376. As in the October deletion discussion I think it would still be more appropriate to leave these for Structured Data, because it probably wouldn't be appropriate to create an item for e.g. every person who appears in a picture on Wikimedia Commons; I think it's more likely that the data for File:Semaphore in Trento.jpg would indicate that it depicts (P180) pole (Q2180428) and flyposting (Q2047902). Jc86035 (talk) 09:02, 8 January 2019 (UTC)
I am not saying that traffic lights need to be listed in any particular city, or associated with graffiti. But the item for a traffic light... why would we remove it. Do traffic lights not exist? Do we not have an educational need to some way identify traffic lights? Sure, maybe it would be better served as a dictionary than an encyclopedia. But the removal seems overkill, which is why I said maybe we should clean up the item and then merge it. Lazypub (talk)
@Lazypub: I can not follow what item should be merged with what. Can you give an example? For the general concept of traffic lights we have traffic light (Q8004). --Pasleim (talk) 14:19, 9 January 2019 (UTC)
I agree with what Pasleim said. I'm still not sure what you want to do with these items. If you mean that we should be keeping some form of those items to indicate what the photos depict, it would be much more useful to do so after Structured Data is at a stage such that this is possible within Structured Data, since (as with the graffiti) it's probably not very useful to catalogue individual metal poles unless we have lots of pictures which are identifiably of the same metal pole, or the poles have external identifiers. @KaMan: Thoughts? Mahir256 (talk) 21:09, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
@Mahir256: I created whole system of concepts starting from dictionary of a specific language (Q55594385) so they should be considered as a whole: https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3AWhatLinksHere&target=Q55594385&namespace=0 I'm still newbie in how Wikidata works so perhaps I did it wrong by creating these items, but I suppose they can't be just deleted but they first have to be replaced by other equivalent statements. OTOH if we delete them then where we assign their wikipedia sites (like [1]) and commons categories (like [2]? KaMan (talk) 06:52, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
Yes, if missing, data should be added to the items, but [3] clearly needed another fix. There is no sitelink on the above item and commons categories don't need it. --- Jura 08:45, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Keep While there are no sidelinks, it's used for instance of (P31). @Jura1: Can you explain why you don't consider using this item as a target for instance of (P31) to be useful? ChristianKl12:19, 21 December 2018 (UTC)
See above: each item for a specific dictionary has a language property with all languages specified. It should obviously be replaced in P31, but in this case, I found it preferable to nominate it for deletion prior. I will do the replacement once deletion is decided. --- Jura 09:12, 28 December 2018 (UTC)
Comment @KaMan: interesting but indeed this is does not seem the best way to model this. @Jura1: please propose an alternative structure for replacement. Cdlt, VIGNERON (talk) 12:35, 29 December 2018 (UTC)
