Hi, I am a sysop, bureaucrat, checkuser, and oversighter on the Japanese Wikipedia (verify). I am also a translator on translatewiki.net (verify). I have been continuously active (mainly on jawiki) since 2008. I have experiences of a large amount of sysop activities on jawiki (verify), and also have experiences in software product internationalization and Japanization besides English/Japanese translation activities on translatewiki.net. In addition, I am very interested in semantic web technologies and have some experiences in the area. I believe Wikidata has great possibilities to contribute not only to Wikimedia projects but also to the semantic web in near future.
On Wikidata, I created my account on November 1st 2012 and have contributed in some areas including deletion request, resolving inconsistencies between interwiki links, translating main page into Japanese, reporting bugs, etc. I am ja-N, and already have autopatroller right here. If I am given sysop permissions here, I will contribute in various sysop activities like deleting pages, blocking abuse users, and translating system messages into Japanese. Thank you. --Penn Station (talk) 12:55, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Support - Not many deletion requests or other Wikidata: edits, but I still think that Penn Station would be a net positive, especially being a ja-N speaker. Ajraddatz (Talk) 12:57, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Support Ajraddatz makes a good point, but, in general, being an admin here is simple enough that someone with a thousand edits here and experience as an admin and checkuser elsewhere can do the work without hassle. Courcelles (talk) 16:04, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Support The candidate seems involved enough to know various aspects of Wikidata, and has track record of using the tools correctly at ja.wikipedia. --whym (talk) 13:01, 18 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
