ICD 9 & ICD 10

Would it be possible to import ICD-9 and 10 from the English diseases-infobox? The value or multiple values look like this for en:Influenza:

 • |ICD10=,
 • |ICD9=487

and should look like this:

 • ICD10
 • J10
 • J11
 • ICD9
 • 487

Merge multiple items

Hi, merge these pairs please. Or somebody know maybe: how to merge multiple pairs using Merge.js or another instrument?

List of disambiguation items that link to non-disambiguation pages

Hi. Could some one of you, botmaster create a list for all items marked as P107 (P107) Q11651459, and find Wikipedia pages they link to, but do not have disambiguation template on them. The result should be a list to work on manually. Littledogboy (talk) 17:25, 17 July 2013 (UTC) Example:

QXXX (disambiguation) :en:This page is not a disambiguation
QXXXXX (disambiguation) :es:That page is not a disambiguation pl:This page is not a disambiguation

Littledogboy (talk) 21:19, 18 July 2013 (UTC)

You are talking about checking 611,163 items with a total of 1,142,866 links. I could do it from the database dumps, but I am not keen on downloading and processing the page and templatelinks tabledumps from all Wikipedias. Byrial (talk) 21:48, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
Hey my bot creats exactly this list at User:Sk!dbot/disambiguation page conflict this is not a complete list as there are many many many such conflicts if someone will empty the list I could add new conflicts. Help is appreciated. Currently I am only linking to the item and tell which page seems to be a correct disambiguation page and which is not a d disambiguation page. --Sk!d (talk) 22:18, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
Great. So much for my original idea. Littledogboy (talk) 19:11, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

Bot to check for presence of disambiguation template

While fixing a lot of interwiki conflicts, we notice is that a lot of renamings of articles to make place for a disambiguation page haven't been properly executed in the past. This results on Wikidata in an item of a group of articles with one of the links to a disambiguation page instead of the subject of the other articles. It would be nice if a bot could check for disambiguation pages between the articles, based on the presence of a template from a local MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage page (like nl:MediaWiki:Disambiguationspage) on that wiki in it so that we know where we need to fix this. If anyone can make a list which this kind of conlicts with the item (Q) linked plus which language link probably shouldn't be in that item. Romaine (talk) 02:36, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

My bot lists this conflicts at User:Sk!dbot/disambiguation page conflict. But nobody solves them I could list many thousand conflicts more. --Sk!d (talk) 02:21, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

Please could you merge the Q7227278 (en Pomerol AOC) with the Q1421562 (de, fr and other Pomerol AOC). Thanks --Feťour (talk) 10:53, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

TV series seasons

I suggested this some time ago but nobody picked it up: it's a simple but very useful task. Wikipedia articles on specific seasons of a television series are titled, taking a random example, en:Lost (season 1) and since most bots importing these as items strip the disambiguator, the description of the Wikidata item become simply Lost, thus creating a very confusing bunch of items with the same description. So the task for a bot would be to go through en:Category:Television seasons, find articles with the title Foo (season X) and change the description of the corresponding item in Wikidata from Foo to Foo (season X) or maybe Foo, season X. (a good solution would be to have, say Foo (season X) as the description and Foo, season X as an alias or vice-versa) Pichpich (talk) 21:27, 22 June 2013 (UTC)

This task could be included in SamoaBot 11. --Ricordisamoa 04:00, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
You're right, it's the same family of problems. And there are many other cases where this sort of solution needs to be applied: US elections, EU elections, big lists broken down alphabetically such as this one, Nickelodeon channels and many more. I'm not sure we can consider this to be an approved task for SamoaBot but if not, I'd certainly support SamoaBot 36. If you do this, I recommend setting the label but also, in some cases, aliases to make sure people find what they're looking for. For instance Battlestar Galactica, season 1 (Q609194), Doctor Who, season 1 (Q1610358) and SpongeBob SquarePants, season 1 (Q864687) are proof that there's no uniformity in the naming scheme so it would be best (I think) to support them all. Pichpich (talk) 05:26, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
You're talking about the description, but do you mean label maybe? --Stryn (talk) 06:54, 4 July 2013 (UTC)
Yes, sorry about that. To be clear: the proposed task is to set labels (and possibly aliases). In some of these cases it wouldn't be hard to also add a description but that's a lower priority I think. Pichpich (talk) 07:18, 4 July 2013 (UTC)

IMHO we could leave labels as they are, and set proper descriptions instead; could we define a standard scheme? e.g.

for all items with English label "foo" and enwiki sitelink matching "foo \(bar (\d+)\)", set English description "bar $1"

--Ricordisamoa 08:02, 5 July 2013 (UTC)

I disagree: the labels are wrong. The correct name for the item corresponding to the 3rd season of Lost is not "Lost" and I can't think of any database which would have such a crazy system. You'll notice that in many languages, the labels include the season number. Moreover, for shows that have a lot of seasons (anything more than seven to be precise), it's very annoying for users to sift through the expanding lists looking for the right description. Having a more precise label solves that problem. Pichpich (talk) 17:39, 6 July 2013 (UTC)

Bot to check for local interwikis that link to redirect

A thing we see with fixing interwikiconflicts is that a lot of interwikis are still local because the local interwiki links to a page that is a redirect because the page was renamed, while this wasn't changed by a bot. Most interwikibots do not recognize that the redirect is the same page as the one added to Wikidata. So we need a bot to remove all interwikis that link to a redirect linking to a page that is in the same item as the page where the local interwikis are in. Romaine (talk) 02:37, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Add link to rowiki

I need a robot to add the links to rowiki and the label to the items for the articles i've been creating with AWB there. Luciandrei (talk) 19:55, 9 July 2013 (UTC)

Please provide further information. Thanks, --Ricordisamoa 04:30, 3 August 2013 (UTC)
I've created these 500 articles and manually added the iw starting from Abainville to ro:Les_Éparges, but the rest still need them. The titles of the articles are the same as in the English Wikipedia. Luciandrei (talk) 19:57, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

Requested to the bots

Hello, we have changed the namespaces in Chechen Wikipedia, so all links to templates like Куцкеп:(Name) should be changed to Кеп:(Name). Similarly, Categories - Кадегар:(Name) to Категори:(Name). --Дагиров Умар (talk) 19:05, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

For your info: Pr. 2013-07-10 where was to Chechen Wikipedia (ce):
 • 460 template links (namespace 10)
 • 598 category links (namespace 14)
 • 0 help links (namespace 12 - Name changed from "Гlо" to "ГӀо")
 • 1 file link (namespace 6 - Name changed from "Хlум" to "Файл")
I am not sure if the bot API can select all items which have sitelinks to a specific wiki, so I made a list at User:Byrial/Chechen template and category links. Byrial (talk) 22:12, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Most have been done by my bot (the rest give errors I'll have to investigate when I get the time.  Hazard-SJ  ✈  03:11, 19 July 2013 (UTC)

I have just added all namespace aliases to my local database, and can now see that also links to several other Wikipedias (mostly lad:, pfl:, bar:) should have the links updated to normalized forms. I expect to post a list when there is a new database dump, then we can also see how many ce: links to namespace aliases there are left. Byrial (talk) 22:10, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

Import infobox rock unit

en:Template:Infobox_rockunit is used by about 1000 pages. The following can be imported:

Infobox field Property Comment
type instance of (P31) Use existing item or output in list
underlies underlies (P567) Could be more than one; Use existing item or output in list
overlies overlies (P568) Could be more than one; Use existing item or output in list
country country (P17) Could be more than one (also sometimes set as Antarctica. Use: continent (P30))
namedfor named after (P138) Could be ambiguous, Use existing and non-ambiguous item or output to list
unitof part of (P361) Could be more than one
image image (P18)
age temporal range start (P523) Infobox only uses only one age field. The end of the temporal range will have to be set by hand. This might not even be machine readable in most cases.
prilithology made from material (P186) Usually multiple values. Only use, if existing item can be found. Would be nice if the bot could export a list of lithologies.
otherlithology made from material (P186) Usually multiple values. Only use, if existing item can be found. Would be nice if the bot could export a list of lithologies.
region ?? Sometimes administrative sometimes geographic or geologic region.

The other fields are used inconsistently and need to be entered by hand. --Tobias1984 (talk) 19:21, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Add a self-link to sovereign states

Please add a self-link to sovereign states using country (P17), as described on Property talk:P17#Add a self-link to sovereign states?. A list of sovereign states can be found at the very beginning of Property talk:P17 (as parameter to ). Thank you! --UV (talk) 20:05, 31 July 2013 (UTC)

Anyone willing/able to help? --UV (talk) 19:06, 16 October 2013 (UTC)
I can do that. Can you first check the listed entries? There seems to be some errors like Classical Athens (Q844930) is a historical place, or Pakistan is twice in the list. --Zuphilip (talk) 11:52, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! I have now checked the list, it looks good to me. (Classical Athens (Q844930) is fine because it describes a historical city-state ("polis") and thus falls within the scope of what we today call a country. The two Pakistans are different and both belong to this list: one is the pre-1956 state, the other one describes the current Pakistan.) Greetings, --UV (talk) 22:44, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
