I don't see an issue with having these on Commons, but Commons' threshold is lower. Not every Commons category merits a Wikidata item. We give a category to a "barely notable" individual if they show up in enough photos. I myself an an example of that. Yeah, these are clear violations of c:COM:SELFIE. Actually, although I nominated five of them for c:COM:DR, three of the five have already been deleted outside of the DR. But the Commons category won't be eligible for speedy deletion until someone closes the DR and deletes the remainder. Unfortunate side effect of xwiki spam is xwiki bureaucracy.

Anyway, DR is always terribly backlogged, so I would like it if this request wasn't closed until the DR on Commons was closed, which unfortunately could take a while. GMG ^talk 23:22, 14 October 2018 (UTC)

@GreenMeansGo: We have a new speedy deletion rule for files like these, to avoid clogging up the DR queue. I have deleted them under that rationale. To get them in the speedy category for selfies/out of scope family photos etc, please add {{SD|F10}} for future reference.
