Mistakes happen. If you have a look at this tree you'll notice Wikimedia category (Q4167836) doesn't have a lot of subcategories (some mistakes in the tree, fixed, but might take a while to update) so finding the doubles is actually quite easy. Take a look at this page. Do the "-P31:Q4167836" with Widar and everything is nice again :-). Multichill (talk) 07:37, 4 September 2015 (UTC)

Stop merging taxa

Q20910324

Hi :) I see you're an admin on cawiki and you also created Q20910324. It seems that the one person in that category on cawiki intended to add an infobox saying "This user can speak American English." like they have on their sqwiki user page, but the Babel extension is case-insensitive, so instead they're listed as a native speaker of Yanesha' (which has the language code "ame"). Could you have a look and maybe fix it? They already list en-4, so maybe it would be ok to remove it if you don't have a template on cawiki like the one they wanted to use.

If you do change or remove the "AmE" bit from their page, ca:Categoria:Usuaris ame and ca:Categoria:Usuaris ame-N will be empty. Let me know if you delete them and I can delete the Wikidata items too. Thanks.

@Yuanga: Els elements de Wikidata els he creat amb aquesta eina. Si els he creat automàticament és perquè no devien tenir l'enllaç a Wikidata, que has de posar en crear l'article. Good evening.

I would like to inform you that the article "Yourope" in ca:wiki is about an association, while the articles "Yourupe" in the fr:wiki and the de:wiki are about a TV show.

This is why I deleted the ca:wiki entry from the Wikidata Yourope Item Page (Q2601357).

My edit was on december, 21st and Pasleim's revert was on january, 4th. The tool I was using, Autolist 2, was really up to date but with wrong information. I am sorry for misreading. User naming traditions joke on me. Strange edit was made January 4th. You add category label and type to this version. The version does not have any category marks. The exact reason why I made the wrong edit is because in the version you point, the label contains (wrongly) the namespace "Categoria:". Templates in cawiki

Hey Paucabot, just for curiosity: why are there so many templates deleted in cawiki? I see a lot of empty template items on my admin worklist—which is not a problem at all, but I am surprised every time. He intentat crear una sèrie de millores a la plana de Wikidata de la regidora i diputada Maria Antònia Sureda Martí (Q21001563). Pots comprovar que es correcte? Simplement un dubte. En aquest cas que per exemple hi està un any de diputada durant la 7a legislatura i ara tota la novena (per tant amb un període intermedi que no), a banda que son partits distints, tot i que un en certa manera prové de l'altre, el dubte és si està be com ho he fet, tot dins una sola propietat (crec que es diu així) de Diputat o cal crear-ne dos, per exemple en aquest cas, un per a cada legislatura? Gràcies! Si ho he fet malament, disculpa.

Aprofit per fer un altre consulta. Funciona com la VP en el sentit de admissibilitat? Per exemple aquí a WD puc crear un element que sigui Eleccions a Artà 2015 (o Eleccions a l'Ajuntament d'Artà 2015) i les altres dates per exemple? O no seria admissible?

@Tomeu87: Bona feina amb les dades de Wikidata. Veuràs que t'hi he fet quatre retocs. Respecte dels dos períodes en què ha estat consellera, diria que no s'ha de posar així. Jo crec que ho posaria en una declaració independent.

@Elizium23: I am replacing media legends that only have the date and replacing them with the correct property. And I am not doing secretely. Take a look at Special:diff/1906689365. What's wrong in it? It says, in catalan, John Lydon el 2010 (John Lydon in 2010). So, I have put the only information that has this sentence in the right place (point in time (P585)). I am only correcting legends that were massively imported by robot from catalan wikipedia on 2020 by JoRobot. Example: Special:diff/1161893673. I know there was no further verification in these dates precisely because I am an admin on catalan wikipedia and I have been working on this edition since 2005. Thanks for your understanding. Paucabot, you seem to be replacing the media legend qualifier with a point in time qualifier. diff. They are not the same thing. One is not a substitute for the other.

The point of a media legend is that a user can use the string, without further thought, as a caption for the image. The user cannot use the point in time qualifier value to generate a caption without, at the least, constructing a string from the label, qualifier value, and a knowledge of Catalan grammar.

Your deletion of the media legend is indistinguishable from vandalism. Please stop. --Tagishsimon (talk) 23:07, 3 June 2023 (UTC)

@Tagishsimon: I am sorry. It was not my intention and I have been explaining it since the first time I was told.

Nobody told me that I couldn't do it. When removal of tags have raised suspicions, I have explained it every time: the first time somebody told me, it seemed to be ok, the second, the problem was with time precision, the third seemed to be with references, and the fourth time (now), you tell me that I can't do it all?

All this legends come from catalan wikipedia and, mainly, they return to catalan wikipedia. We should be able to fix inconsistencies, even more if these editions help improve Wikidata (as far as I know, moving dates to the right qualifier is improving Wikidata).

Indeed it is possible to generate a caption from a point in time (P585). We are doing it in infoboxes in catalan wikipedia as you can see in ca:John Joseph Lydon. And if it's not done that way, the date is absolutely redundant as you can see, for example, in ca:Beatrix Potter.

Your explanation sucks, Paucabot; that's the problem. You are deleting perfectly valid statements because, for some reason or other, you do not like them. Not because there is anything wrong with them. Just because you feel like it. You do not own Catalan WD nor Catalan WP. Your ideas are not better - and are objectively worse - than the person who added the media legends. Your actions are sociopathic and wrong.
