Qualifiers edit

Hi. Good initiative. Until now, I was using P54 + position played on team / speciality (P413) = coach (Q41583) or similars. However, now it's simple to handle this sport role. The creation proposal doesn't talk about qualifiers allowed. Based on present use (https://w.wiki/Cap), I propose to define a list in order to implement the following constraints:

In addition: I created all the coach of sports team (P6087) statements for those item with P54 + position played on team / speciality (P413) = coach (Q41583). Now this statements are redundant with esmented P54, because I do not delete just in case some users were still getting information from old ontology, but it should be delete in a few time. @ديفيد عادل وهبة خليل 2, Fundriver, MisterSynergy, Pintoch:, thanks for your comments. Hey User:Amadalvarez, thanks for your initiative and the implementation of trainers that were under member of sports team (P54) so far. A few comments from my side:
  • The point in time (P585) is used in a different attitude in the german Wikidata-module. There this property wants to give back the last update of an entry and also applys to entries in member of sports team (P54). Even tho, it isnt really much in use and i'm not sure, if this is the best kind of use.
  • For the others i'm totally okay with, including that we shouldn't using position held (P39) - which I did so far because I had no better idea. I will change this in the german Wikidata-module than, too - please notify me as soon you changed it.
  • valid in period (P1264) should be also acceptable for exceptional situations, since sometimes you just know the season but not the exact dates in the season from your sources.
Best regards, Fundriver (talk) 12:34, 24 November 2019 (UTC)Reply
@Fundriver:. No problem to include P585 and P1264. Regarding P39, take your time. I will not delete any present extra qualifiers, even some others really funny qualifiers that I didn't mention. I just wanted to define for the future and let documented here, in property page. So, as soon as you change your de:module, you can move statements. If you need some help, just ping me.
