Redundancy edit

Maria Treben (Q85451) is a writer and a woman. One bot added "author": author (Q482980), what is already redundant. Adding "female author": woman of letters (Q381353) is redundant², since this item is linked to all female writers and not only to fr:femme de lettres.[1] Can you reverse this edits? Cheers --Kolja21 (talk) 14:06, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

I will do it in May 9th. Best Amir (talk) 19:20, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Truncated naming of items (just "Gesetz" instead of full name) edit

Hi Ladsgroup,

there are quite a few items named simply "Gesetz" in German like Q19200670 where your user:Dexbot added the name after the initial items were imported from Wikisource without any name. But the full name is for example Gesetz, betreffend die Feststellung eines zweiten Nachtrags zum Reichshaushalts-Etat für das Rechnungsjahr 1901. Would it be possible for the dexbot to correct this? I started to do it manually, but it got lengthy... Thanks, --S.K. (talk) 19:05, 9 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I split titles by comma and use first part. I can make an exception for all pages in main namespace in German Wikisource if you think it is the right way and fix all of them Amir (talk) 20:50, 10 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Stop bot edit

Hello it is an error to change religion from catholicism to Église catholique, because the last is an institution and the first is a religion. So can you stop your bot, and revert the modification ? Thanks Olivier LPB (talk) 09:43, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Please read the link I provided in edit summary of the edits, I work based on consensuses Amir (talk) 09:46, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
Sorry but I agree with Olivier LPB: this is a non sense. We need to discuss about that so don't change nothing. Just a small question: where do you organize that kind of surveillance ? Is it a tool/gadget of WD or a special feature of your bot you maintain on request ? Thanks. Snipre (talk) 15:22, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I was asked to do this, I'm not watching pages to see what I can do. Please discuss about the changes in WD:PC and when consensuses has reached, tell me. Amir (talk) 19:24, 8 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

School edit

I noted that your bot added Property:P31 Q5 to multiple schools (like Q2120416 or Q2399276). Edit summary suggested, that these edits were based on enwiki, but none of relevant enwiki articles imply the "humanity" of subject. With my tool i found only those with Property:P625, so there can be much more of them than these two. Please try to fix the script, found more incorrect human claims and fix them. Thanks. --Jklamo (talk) 21:15, 12 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, these edits made using AI tools (Kian in this case) and they can make mistakes in strange ways. I will fix this one before I go on, thank you for notifying me. Amir (talk) 15:56, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Category redirect edit

Is possible to avoid to create item for category redirect like Q20024086 (wikilink vi:Thể loại:Nhạc Kịch)? --ValterVB (talk) 12:32, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, I added this for big wikis, I fix it soon, Thanks for letting me know Amir (talk) 15:58, 13 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Chinese surnames edit

Your bot originally added given name (P735) Qian (Q2541846) to Qian Zhongshu (Q559750) in [2]. Jura (@Jura1: ping) then removed it in [3] because it's wrong (it's the surname, not the given name, Chinese names are usually written with the surname first), but then your bot readded it again in [4] anyway.

The same happened with Qian Xuesen (Q333500) ([5], [6] and [7]) and with Tao Hongjing (Q981888) ([8], [9] and [10]).

I've fixed these again. Please make sure your bot does not re-add them again. I would suggest making sure that the item you want to use is marked as a given name (don't just assume that the first part of a name is a given name since there are plenty of places where that's not true) and don't re-add claims to things it's previously added the claim to.

Hey, The latest edit was made several months ago. This bot works and adds information based on Italian Wikipedia. In that Wiki Qian mentioned as given name (I don't know whether it's correct or not) e.g. w:it:Qian Xuesen (Edit page and see Template:Bio and argument "Cognome" in it). I think you need to talk with Italian Wikipedia people about this. I'm just moving data from there. Amir (talk) 10:08, 16 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikisyntax edit

Hi, I want to let you know that your bot has added wikisyntax to items, ie. propably wrong data. Could you please take a look at it? Thanks Matěj Suchánek (talk) 10:35, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, They are easy to track down [11] and I already fixed some of them (I'm fixing them by hand now), It's okay to have these errors out of several thousand statements Amir (talk) 12:12, 21 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ladsgroup, I think you should have a look at this edit... Romaine (talk) 07:14, 2 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Hey, User:Romaine sorry for late answer. It was part of phab:T100875. I will find issues and fix them ASAP. Amir (talk) 12:00, 4 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

This is list of items that my bot might made a mess in them:

I will check them tomorrow Amir (talk) 22:33, 5 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

All of them are already fixed, thank you for notifying me Amir (talk) 09:19, 6 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Similar one I fixed. --Infovarius (talk) 20:02, 30 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Labels for RE articles edit

Hello Ladsgroup, I noticed your bot adding labels to the Wikidata items für RE articles from the German Wikisource (like this). This is very helpful, thank you :)

Could you tell your bot to do this with all these items? Basically every Wikidata item that is linked to a page from dewikisource leading with the string "RE:". Could you just add the whole page title as a lable ("RE:foobar")?

Cheers, Jonathan Groß (talk) 10:03, 24 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
