I try to avoid re-purposing items. A bot will add the labels to the new item.

It look like i was a mistake from the creation of the item. the wikilink speak on th tribe not a family name. I marge the item after I change it, if you think it better in your way and we will not lose any data, you can un-merge it. but it probabaly better to delete after you add the label, just to be sure we didn't forgot any label. - yona b (talk) 08:57, 22 August 2018 (UTC)

The problem is that when it's set up as a family name, some bots will copy the English label to other languages. If one moves all sitelinks to a new item, another bot will add the labels corresponding to these sitelinks. It might take a couple of days. If you re-purpose the item, external uses may break.
