Tools per country edit

Not all country lists are the same and each country's lists have specific problems. A tool that would be handy to have for the Dutch lists is one that checks the label names in Dutch with the street name. We have most streets in city centers on Wikidata now and the rijksmonuments have their addresses. I merged two Janskerk items in Haarlem based on the street address. So assuming we now only have unique rijksmonument id's it would be nice to check if there are items without monument id but same address to be merged. Jane023 (talk) 12:06, 1 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Suggestions on data migration edit

I opened a discussion here to get feedback on the migration of some Italian WLM data. Is Wikidata:Project_chat a good place to discuss about this or is there already another preferred place? Nvitucci (talk) 09:01, 25 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

COH Challenge edit

Hello! I am just dropping a line to tell you about the COH Challenge that is arranged by Wikimedia Sverige and UNESCO, and that I wrote about at the Project Chat earlier today. I hope some of you want to join! Eric Luth (WMSE) (talk) 13:35, 30 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Notified participants of WikiProject WLM. Hello everyone! This month (July 2018), we are hosting a quite crucial community consultation on Wikimedia Commons: we are listing the Wikidata properties that media files on Commons will need (including ones that might not exist yet, and might need to be created for this purpose). The consultation runs at least till the end of July, maybe longer.

Please consider to take a look and give input. For instance, it would be good to have feedback there on how you think monument identifiers and other characteristics of monument photographs should be stored on structured Commons. Thanks! SandraF (WMF) (talk) 12:35, 4 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Monumental trees in WLM edit

Hi, based on what I said in User_talk:Braveheart, can I ask you all if you would be interested in introducing an ID for monumental trees and integrating them in WLM or WLE next year. this one is a possible platform? User:Braveheart was interested to discuss it further.--Alexmar983 (talk) 20:10, 11 August 2018 (UTC)Reply

Monumental trees would be out of scope for WLM but would likely be in scope for WLE (depending on local country rules). /Lokal Profil (talk) 10:18, 20 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
They were included for Catalonia in a previous edition of WLE. See ca:Llista d'arbres monumentals de Catalunya. --Vriullop (talk) 07:51, 22 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
What's the point of that exactly? Braveheart (talk) 17:45, 27 August 2018 (UTC)Reply
