License

edit

@Njardarlogar: I am wondering about the license for Oqaasileriffik online dictionary. I have been trying to find out from the website at https://oqaasileriffik.gl, but I have not been able to find any statement. My concern is that there might be a problem with the license, as Danish online dictionaries have various licenses that are not compatible with Wikidata's CC0. — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 14:56, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Fnielsen: I haven't see anything about license, so I treat it as non-free. Don't see what that has to do with this property, though. --Njardarlogar (talk) 16:22, 28 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
I suppose as long as we do not use it to set up data from it, it might be ok. I have been setting up lexemes and then afterwards matching to the Oqaasileriffik dictionary. My impression now is that that approach is ok. — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 13:35, 2 October 2019 (UTC)Reply

Lexeme or sense

edit

I is unclear to me whether the pages pointed to by the Oqaasileriffik dictionary identifier should be lexemes or senses. For instance, if your search "mester" https://oqaasileriffik.gl/search/?st=mester#result there is a listed titled "Lexemes", but "mester in Den Danske Ordbog at https://ordnet.dk/ddo/ordbog?query=mester, shows only one lexeme and multiple senses. If one examines the Oqaasileriffik items one by one, it seems that the items are better characterized as senses rather than lexemes. Nevertheless, so far I have added the Oqaasileriffik identifier on the lexeme level rather than on the sense level, see, e.g., https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Lexeme:L184755. That means that there are multiple idenfiers for each Wikidata lexeme... — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 13:42, 2 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
