- Nomination statement: At 26 logged admin actions, I don't know where I fit in the hierarchy of tool use, but I don't imagine it's particularly high. Where I do use my admin role (although not necessarily the tools) is in closing requests for permissions and bringing said requests over to the stewards. Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that in that portion of the job at least, I am the most active admin. My activity on the project fluctuates due to a number of factors including real life concerns and pressing need for my attention in other projects (I'm active in Commons and en.Wikipedia). I do check my watchlist every day though, and I do have 3,500 edits, some of which represent hours of work apiece. I also exist on the Wikidata IRC channel. While we haven't needed it yet, I do believe that it's valuable for there to be admins on the IRC in case there are emergencies or situations best handled in private. I don't know what else to say, save that while I wouldn't be the crushed, bitter, broken shell of a man if I didn't retain the tools, I do enjoy being able to help out in my current capacity. Oppose- Sven decided to close the previous circuit for candidates he !voted on.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:23, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]- True. I intended on closing all of the requests, not realizing that there was someone who had held back from voting to serve as a neutral closer. I suppose you could chalk it up to habit, I'm not used to other people closing RfAs on this project. You must admit that it is a recent phenomenon. You'll notice that for this round, I've yet to make any votes. Sven Manguard Wha? 01:27, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- (per IRC discussion) I don't see that.--Jasper Deng (talk) 02:08, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't understand what relevance this has to whether or not Sven can be trusted as an admin here. Also, this confirmation system has a clear margin for requests - 75%. It really doesn't matter if someone is involved, uninvolved, a ten year old who can do math, or a frickin' computer - so long as they can calculate the percentage, and determine if it is greater or less than 75%. For people obsessed with wikidrama and bureaucracy, a more neutral admin could have closed it, but seriously - why the big fuss? Ajraddatz (Talk) 02:47, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- If it's not a simple vote with simple rules, then this is quite important.--Jasper Deng (talk) 04:23, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Support Sven has a tendency of doing smth really stupid from time to time - like, for instance, publishing a voter's guide right after nominating himself to the Arbcom elections committee, or indeed closing a vote where he participated whereas there are plenty of other available closers who did not. Whereas this creates a bit of drama sometimes, I have never seen this creating a lot of drama, and given Sven is one of the most active admins here I am inclined to support.--Ymblanter (talk) 08:47, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Neutral I'm pretty sure this request will pass, and overall I think that it would be a net benefit to the site. You're very experienced, and also very passionate about this site. However, my reservations stem from the times when you've been a bit too far ahead of the rest of the site in pushing for things, which isn't what an admin should be doing. I hope you'll take this into consideration moving forward. --Rschen7754 08:56, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- I appreciate the feedback. One thing I will say is that I never saw the 'pushing the project forward' role as being at all related to the 'being an admin' role. I ran for 'crat for the same reason that I rewrote the formatting guidelines; I really like the project and want to make sure that it runs smoothly. After the unsuccessful run for 'crat, I did realize that I was going at a pace that other people aren't comfortable with, and haven't really made any proposals since then. When the project is ready for support roles like 'crat, I would be happy to put my name in the ring. At this point, however, I think that other people are going to need to take the first steps. I know that I go at a fast pace, and I don't want to make the community uneasy again. This is also Sven Manguard 19:48, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As to Rschen's interesting point, I think that bold thinkers are always useful, as long as there are other users who can keep them in check when they go a little bit too fast. - Support I don't normally pile-on support, but will make an exception here. Sven makes bad calls just like the rest of us, (the crat thing for instance), but he gets the vast majority right, and believes in trying to make things happen in order to make them better. I respect that. Throw in his activity, respect for consensus, and the very high probability that he will make use of the tools once phase two necessitates them, and this is a no-brainer. —WFC— 18:16, 31 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Nomination statement: Hi everyone. I asked for the admin tools in November to help for technical tasks (maintaining the MediaWiki: namespace, setting up gadgets and fix users' problems within their own scripts…) and I've done this to some extent but certainly not as much as I wanted as I've had to slow down my contributions to Wikimedia projects at the beginning of December (in particular, I've not written many scripts until now). That being said, I'm not really focusing on editcount or actioncount. I've also used the tools to grant a few autopatrol flags to trusted users. If I'm given the tools again this time, I'll continue to focus on helping people with technical tasks, which may include working on tools / filters to fight vandalism if it happens to be some in the future. - Nomination statement: Hello everyone. Since demo system I'm around here and I really love this project... I even wear Wikidata t-shirt sent by WMDE! The admin work will become more and more important when Phase 1 will be implemented on other Wikipedia versions (especially on the English one), then phase 2 and 3 (which I'm very interested in)... This is why I'd like to keep admin tools to help build, maintain and clean up Wikidata. I've deleted few duplicates & nonexistent Items, I also granted autopatrol to trusted users.
- All in all, I have over 1,300 edits and few Admin actions on Wikidata. It's true I didn't use the admin tools too much until now, I was more involved in Main Page templates to have identical Main pages in all languages, translating Help and Community pages, and most of all get more familiar with this new wiki! I'll continue to focus more and more on admin tasks in the future. Also I live in Canada, so I'm awake when Europe is sleeping, which might be useful to patrol during this period! Thank you for your trust! Regards, Benoit Rochon (talk) 22:10, 26 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I edit nearly every day some items to complete descriptions, aliases etc. Furthermore: Hunting and reporting bugs, improving translation. Currently I do not have many admin actions but I am sure that there will be more when phase II will be started. I still think that the "admin role should not be a big thing" from the very first years of my Wikipedia live so I would like to keep the admin role for the future but I will not cry when you say "request it later when you really need it" :-) Raymond (talk) 09:55, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Nomination statement: Hi, I'm an admin here since November 8 and furthermore performed administrative tasks prior to this (as global sysop). I've always been interested in Wikidata and I'm also into the development of the Wikibase extension (which powers Wikidata). Most of my admin actions date before I got elected in November because after that there just wasn't that much administrative work (per administrator) that needed to be done. Furthermore I sadly didn't have to much time in the past weeks either. But I still check my watchlist daily and follow the discussions, bug reports, ... etc. I plan to become more active again and I guess there will be more administrative work that needs to be done in the future. Due to this and because it will help me with the development of the extension I would really like to go on serving the community as an administrator! - Hoo man (talk) 12:24, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Nomination statement: As you can see from my logs so far, I have not been a very active administrator. I had applied for this job to fight vandalism, but we haven't seen much vandalism on Wikidata yet. The reason might be that it is harder to edit here, that the effects of destroying interwiki-links are not spectacular enough or that wikidata is simply not found by bored children. This could, and, as I think, will change, when the interface gets smarter, when we have infoboxes and when wikidata is linked from more and bigger wikipedias. If you think, my services as an anti-vandalism-admin will be necessary in the near future, I would be pleased to get your vote, if not, I will step back and maybe apply again in the future. --Seewolf (talk) 23:42, 27 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Oppose Completely inactive after his election. Started editing again a few days before reconfirmation. That is not enough for me though I trust this user. Vogone (talk) 00:21, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Neutral You don't have that many log actions, but if your platform is counter-vandalism then we haven't gotten much of a use in the past 3 months. However I did notice that vandalism and spam have increased in the past month.--Jasper Deng (talk) 00:23, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Oppose per Ajraddatz basically – applied for adminship, got adminship based on reputation elsewhere, went away for a couple of months, and returned shortly before reconfirmation. It is in the interests of Wikidata to encourage an easy-come, easy-go, easy-return approach to the tools, based on whether those tools are actually used. For that reason I'm opposed now, but would probably support in future, if you do indeed become active in phase two. —WFC— 19:12, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
