Motivation
editNotified participants of WikiProject Visual arts
Another useful authority control property. 8725 items from the Guggenheim fellows catalog have been tentatively matched to Wikidata items in Mix'n'Match, but because there is no associated property, these matches don't update the WD item. This property can be used to reference an "award received" statement for the fellowship itself and other biographical details as recorded in the dataset.
Can someone please set the filter value for me? PKM (talk) 21:29, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

- @PKM: I have set the filter to lowercase a-z and '-', unlimited number of characters. Don't know if this is right -- in a quick look couldn't see how the site deals with names with diacritics. Jheald (talk) 21:45, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
- Constraints violations will show and the regex can be adapted in case … --Marsupium (talk) 21:54, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
- @Jheald, Marsupium: Thanks so much. I think diacritics are stripped - example "Louise Glück → louise-gluck" - PKM (talk) 22:03, 2 March 2019 (UTC)
- @PKM: Ah, yes. It helps to Read The Friendly Proposal :-) Jheald (talk) 22:07, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

- Support The adding of the award should be possible with a DeltaBot job for the mainsnak at least. I think that setting a reference with this property wouldn't be possible though with current code. --Marsupium (talk) 21:54, 2 March 2019 (UTC)

- Comment. I've just initiated Guggenheim fellows ID (P6594) but it seems to me that maybe this was actually not supposed to be a string property. Isn't this an external identifier instead? Thierry Caro (talk) 12:31, 11 March 2019 (UTC)
