Motivation

The National Trust manages 200 historic places in the United Kingdom, including agricultural lands and stately homes filled with art and other interesting artefacts of UK history.

The paintings in the UK National Trust are on the Art UK website, e.g. The Thames at Westminster (Q19660486) already has property Art UK artwork ID (P1679) set. This is an extra check for painting objects not (yet?) on Art UK, as well as all other indexed objects per NT location, such as the piano example, for which we already have images on Commons from the Geograph project. The Geograph images have been well categorized per location, but not per object and this will help by unlocking valuable metadata, such as time periods or creator/manufacturers. @Jane023: please be aware of the distinction between National Trust (Q333515) (in England, Wales and Northern Ireland,) and National Trust for Scotland (Q599997). I suspect this site covers the former, and not "the UK". Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:29, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
