Motivation
editState Historical Museum (Q1140429) maintains digital project which offers online access to the collection of the museum. You can find a person and it will show you all items which are linked to it (i.e. portraits of this person, his personal belongings etc). Not to be confused with authorship relation, which is used for online collections of visual arts museums.
Probably people can be matched pretty quickly, since birth/death years are specified right in alphabetical index.
Other online collections of Russian museums, but dedicated to visual arts: Pushkin Museum artist ID (P12715), Virtual Russian Museum artist ID (P12716), Museum of the Russian Academy of Arts artist ID (P12894), Wikidata:Property proposal/Hermitage Museum artist ID, Wikidata:Property proposal/Tretyakov Gallery artist ID.
