I recently read Wikidata:Notability and when I noticed cases where people create wikidata items for themselves, I tagged them. I am not aware of other Wikimedians with Wikidata items. If people are allowed to create items for themselves often without any external references, than we should add it to the Wikidata:Notability criteria. --Jarekt (talk) 16:50, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

Being Wikip(m)edian does not necessary mean you do not meet notability criteria on Wikidata, Wikipedia or other projects. I did not nominated any items of people that in my judgment meet Wikidata:Notability criteria. For example if items had any Identifiers, like VIAF or LOC than one can at least find information other than provided by subjects. --Jarekt (talk) 17:30, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

I do not think those pages meet the current Wikidata:Notability criteria. If I am wrong and they do meet current criteria, please explain. ┌────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┘ There are three notability criteria; we can clearly and uncontroversially disregard the first, as there are no interwiki links. The other two are:

  • It refers to an instance of a clearly identifiable conceptual or material entity. The entity must be notable, in the sense that it can be described using serious and publicly available references.
  • It fulfils some structural need, for example: it is needed to make statements made in other items more useful.

The former clearly applies in some cases (VIAF, GND, etc), as noted above; the latter may apply in those cases marked as "on hold" due to existing links to other Wikidata items. Leaning   Keep on the basis that these items do refer to clear entities (individual human beings) (item 2) and seem to fulfil some structural need (criterion 3) by connecting Commons categories / creator pages with other authority control identifiers.   Keep I think that 2 and 3 applies here (items have Commons Creator page (P1472)). It is impossible to use P1472 with other items. Wikidata may have such information until commons get update. d1g (talk) 12:47, 24 September 2017 (UTC)

I close the remaining six requests as   Not deleted. All have a valid Commons Creator page (P1472) claim, thus there is structural need for the Wikimedia Commons project. I have realized that Q17227845 does not contain any data which the connected Commons creator page doesn’t contain as well, but there may be identifier data added, thus we keep it as well for now. Some of the nominated items also contain third-party controlled external identifiers, which make them notable independently of the Commons creator pages. Once Wikimedia Commons will roll out structural data fields, the notability of the nominated items without independent external identifiers (and similar ones) need to be re-assessed anyway.
