Hello Trivialist ,
First of all, I hope to find you in good health during this curious period. I am writing to you
to apologize for having rb your modification: I wanted to use mw-undo to put an explanatory summary. Having made this mistake, let me explain myself here.
- EIDR content ID (P2704) is only used for Items. I have also modified this property as a consequence of your first addition.
- Contrary to your reference, the identifiers which could be identical to Filmstarts title ID (P8531) (I write well "which could") are under
altIdDomain=webedia-group.com
. Webedia is the entity that manages Filmstarts. Instead of third-party formatter URL (P3303), the value would be:https://resolve.eidr.org/EIDR/object/?altId=$1&altIddomain=webedia-group.com
. - Values that can be found unambiguous don't need additional parameters. But this is not the case for Filmstarts (Q1415290). This is valid for IDs from IMDb or Wikidata. Example: 2 ways to find Seven (Q190908):
https://resolve.eidr.org/EIDR/object/?altId=tt0114369
or with its parameterhttps://resolve.eidr.org/EIDR/object/?altId=tt0114369&altIdType=IMDB
withaltIdType
.https://resolve.eidr.org/EIDR/object/?altId=Q190908
or with its parameterhttps://resolve.eidr.org/EIDR/object/?altId=Q190908&altIdDomain=wikidata.org
withaltIdDomain
.
- The Ids of Webedia retained by Entertainment Identifier Registry (Q5323129) are mainly valid for AlloCiné film ID (P1265) (n° 208 on uri-mapping.json), but this is not always the case, because Allociné is only part of Webedia, out of a total of 5 entities (sites). However, as has been discussed many times on WD:PFD and WD:PP, the Ids can mix, be absent or different on each entity. On Wikidata, the distinction is made by 3 properties (for movies). Example, 10 Seconds (Q169103) should exist under ...?altId=137934&altIddomain=webedia-group.com, but this is an
bad id error
, while "137934" exists. - The amalgamation being done on EIDR, it cannot be used as third-party formatter URL (P3303) for all the Webedia entities, namely P8531, AlloCiné film ID (P1265) and AdoroCinema film ID (P7777). The case is the same for all properties that relate to these entities, whether it's TV series or others.
