Discussion

Preferred search formatter

An additional formatter URL was added after this was created and marked as preferred. I think the other formatter is preferable, because it gives the authorized form of the name or term, whereas the one currently marked as preferred only shows the MARC version, which is not going to be as user-friendly to most people looking at it. Is there a reason the MARC display should be preferred? UWashPrincipalCataloger (talk) 00:32, 19 June 2021 (UTC)

@UWashPrincipalCataloger: Although the "normal" display can be more user-friendly, the MARC display contains many information which are not shown in the "normal" display. For this reason, the MARC display has been adopted as preferred for all Koha catalogs properties. --Epìdosis 13:40, 19 June 2021 (UTC)
