there are two articles in wp:en, one for velvet and one for corduroy while in wp:fr, there is only one, treating of both subject ("Velours" = velvet, "velours côtelé" = corduroy) and wp:fr:velours côtelé is a redirect to wp:fr:velours. It is thus impossible to add a link in Q1132110 to "velours côtelé".

Then those items cannot be merged (only the sitelinks could and should be exchanged). However, the two eo articles don't seem to be split up cleanly to me. Even though "Lago de Lucerno" clearly is said to be part of "Kvarkantona Lago" in its article, the coordinates are exactly the same, most of the data in the infobox is the same (e.g. max depth, while the really deepest point of the Vierwaldstättersee is in the Gersauer See according to dewiki, etc.). Maybe it would be an option for eowiki to remove the infox, like there also is no infobox in eo:Lago de Urio. --YMS (talk) 13:21, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

That in some German-language sources the name "Luzernersee" is also used for just part of the lake, does not mean that the articles are about different lakes. In common usage the names Vierwaldstättersee, Lac des Quatre Cantons, Lago dei Quattro Cantoni, Lago di Lucerna, and Lai dals Quatter Chantuns do mean the same lake, and should thus be merged. Only eo:Lago de Lucerno is about the separate "Luzernersee" as part of the Vierwaldstättersee, and should thus get its own item. My problem now is: If I try to set the language corresponding article as I think it is right, there is the error "Site link enwiki:Bookbinding already used by item Q240471." So I first assume and than approve, that is the ID of en:Bookbinding.

Why is it impossible to set a linking to a page with a redirect?
