    Meaning edit

What does it mean? What's the difference from "doctoral advisor"? Why Max Planck is a PhD-student of more than 10 professors? Infovarius (talk) 10:56, 18 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

A person has usually only one or two doctoral advisors, and he himself may be later on a doctoral advisor of dozens of students. Planck had over 10 PhD students under him. DGtal (talk) 10:54, 23 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
I know about one-two. Read my question carefully, as 2≠10. Or this property is inverse to "doctoral advisor"? --Infovarius (talk) 14:43, 25 December 2013 (UTC)Reply
doctoral student (P185) is inverse property (P1696) doctoral advisor (P184). — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 11:46, 24 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

    Scope edit

I take it that this should only be used for PhD students and not postdocs? I have removed one postdoc from the listing of doctoral student (P185). Any thoughts about this? — Finn Årup Nielsen (fnielsen) (talk) 11:49, 24 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

    Constraints edit

Why does this property require the sex or gender of the doctoral student be set? Seems a bit overly specific. --Infomuse (talk) 18:39, 23 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

    French label edit
