Fix value item in property

Can someone, replace made from material (P186): oil painting (Q174705) with made from material (P186): oil paint (Q296955) (the first item is about the technique, the second about the material). Side note, it would be great if there was a bot that could be fed with a list "frequently needed fixes" that could be run once in a while - or continuously. --Zolo (talk) 07:28, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

My bot could do this he also checks GND and Gender and some other properties. I am also currently running a task to check every item for double entered values. I will add this check, too. I can also add other fixes, too. --Sk!d (talk) 11:05, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
My bot has made a run. I also proposed a bot approval for your idea of a list for "frequently needed fixes" at Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Bot/Sk!dbot 3.

Taxon category merges

Could a bot potentially merge all of these (non-conflicting ones) and then nominate the empties for a bulk deletion? It would save a lot of user time doing this automatically rather than manually. Delsion23 (talk) 17:55, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

import identifiers for chemicals and drugs

I have seen that there are already authority control properties for drugs and chemicals but are not used much. They can be added from drugbox infobox on each article by Bots. Remove undifferentiated GND entries in Property:P227

VIAFBot imported hundreds of thousands of GND identifiers from w:de:Template:Normdaten on de.wikipedia. Only individualized GND entries should be stored in Wikidata, though, and since our German template is still used with a couple of thousand non-individualized entries (those that just feature a "name", not an individualized "person"), a couple of thousand entries on Wikidata are wrong, too. We are in the course of updating our de.wikipedia templates in all these cases, but it's necessary to manually inspect all of these cases, and we're not entirely done yet. Hence the Bot somewhat prematurely imported those numbers. So here's my request: I'd like a bot to remove all GND identifiers on Wikidata that are also featured in this huge list of undifferentiated GND identifiers (zipped text file, zipped file size 15 MB) from Wikidata Property:P227. --AndreasPraefcke (talk) 08:39, 2 August 2013 (UTC)

I went through a couple of them. Quite a few seems to have en_wiki sitelinks.

If a bot could complete the labels as MediaWiki:Gadget-slurpInterwiki.js does, this would probably reduce the list. --  Docu  at 12:18, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Yes, that should be quite simple. I'll write up something as soon as I've completed (or at least in a trial state with) a script that I'm working on now.  Hazard-SJ  ✈  02:36, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

Labels from article titles

Based on the stats at User talk:Byrial/Language statistics for items, some 1.2 million labels could be generated from WP article titles. --  Docu  at 18:31, 10 August 2013 (UTC)

C'est une estimation basse. Un grand nombre semble être dû à un seul robot, voir Wikidata:Requests for permissions/Bot/EmausBot 2 suite à ma demande. Ljubinka (discussion) 11:47, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
It also happens if you create items manually with the interface language different from the iw language and you don't click "import interwiki (&labels)" at the end.
Wikidata:Bot_requests#Special:EntitiesWithoutLabel.2Fen.2Fitem above is more or less the same issue.
It something that can easily be fixed by bot. --  Docu  at 13:04, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Set country for Italian comuni and Norwegian municipalities

Things with P132 (P132) set to commune of Italy (Q747074) should also have country (P17) Italy (Q38) and things with P132 (P132) set to municipality of Norway (Q755707) should have country (P17) Norway (Q20). en:Template:usgs-gazetteer is also used for the Antarctica IDs and could be imported as well, though quite a lot of transclusions are unfortunately missing the "id=" parameter. IMHO we need be to careful with both templates when they are used in references, as those don't necessarily refer to the article subject itself. --Kam Solusar (talk) 11:14, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
The "name" field from Template:GNIS should probably imported as a qualifier as well. --  Docu  at 04:23, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

w:de:Vorlage:Infobox Sprache (1827 uses) and w:en:Template:Infobox language (7912 uses) have ISO-639-1/2/3 data in them. The enwiki usage is a bit noisy because there's not a one-to-one matching between enwiki pages and ISO-639-3 codes (not to mention that some codes include other codes!), so it will have to be verified that it is a 3-letter code; the dewiki usage seems not to need the additional check, but it probably wouldn't hurt. Remove obsolete imported from Wikimedia project (P143)->Wikipedia-based sources

imported from Wikimedia project (P143) is important to show from which Wikipedia a claim has been imported from. This allows to find the source of errors (e.g., Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations). Importing basic claims from Wikipedia is in turn important as an empty item has no information to identify itself. However, we all agree that Wikipedia is no "real" source to be used in Wikipedia and elsewhere again. Thus, all sources imported from Wikimedia project (P143)->Wikipedia where the claim is referenced by any other third party source should be removed. Ideally, in soon future, no imported from Wikimedia project (P143)->Wikipedia remain. This work should be performed continuously and, thus, by a bot living at Labs. Manual example edit: [1].  — Felix Reimann (talk) 08:09, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

I misinterpreted the request. Agreed to remove P143 if an other valid source is present. HenkvD (talk) 19:20, 13 February 2014 (UTC)
