Bot

Hola, he visto tus ediciones y están correctas, por lo que ya he votado a tu favor. Con respecto a lo que planteas en tu solicitud de que faltan páginas antiguas de es.wp sin hacer en wikidata, te cuento que hay varios bots dando vueltas trayendo artículos, pero el operador trae de su wiki de origen (y no vi ninguno de español). Hay ahora algunos otros bots que actualizan interwikis pero ignoro cuanto tiempo dedican. Si quieres colaborar, hay muchas cosas que necesitan de un bot urgente, aparte de interwikis. Me alegro mucho que ya estés autorizado. No estoy al tanto de lo que puedes hacer con el bot, así que yo te cuento en que se necesita ayuda y tú luego ves lo que puedes hacer.

1) Hay muchos bots que traen páginas aparte de los usuarios, pero algunas vienen incorrectas. Al traer la página hay que marcar la opción de completar el label o título con el enlace relacionado: por ejemplo: Q179090 el título lo pone el bot al traer la página: http://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q179090&oldid=661688

En cambio, en Q207628 verás que tiene página en español pero no figura el título. Este tipo de casos los estamos arreglando a mano (entre tres usuarios), pero hay muchísimos de este tipo, y sería de enorme ayuda que un bot pueda hacerlo. Un bot arma está página: Wikidata:Labels and descriptions task force/es así sabemos que páginas necesitan arreglo, en el punto 3.1. están las que necesitan título y que tienen artículo en es.wp.

2) Hay otra página con la que trabajamos: User:ValterVBot/Labels and descriptions/es allí tenemos las páginas que necesitan arreglos (solamente hasta la 30000) el tema es que ya hay 5.000.000. Como verás estamos muy complicados y retrasados con respecto a los demás idiomas.

3) Creo que para empezar sería bueno hacerlo completando los labels. Para esto hay que usar la herramienta "importar interwikis" elegir un idioma y chequear la casilla "Autocompletar etiquetas vacías....". Esto agrega los interwikis faltantes y pone el label o título que corresponde.

4) Otro tema es poner las descripciones. Existe una herramienta desarrollada: http://bots.wmflabs.org/~bene/items_by_cat.php?lang=en&cat=The+Who+albums&condlang= donde pones categoría e idioma y te devuelve que páginas son las existentes. De esta manera se pueden copiar la misma descripción a un mismo tipo de artículos.

Petición

Dejé una petición para el bot. Es una categoría con muchas páginas. Consulta: ¿solamente lo tienes para las categorías de es.wp o también de otros sitios, por ejemplo de la en.wp?

Ayer desempolvé el bot de pywikipedia que usaba en wikisource, no soy experta para nada, solo lo usaba para cosas de categorías ya que no entiendo demasiado como funciona. Me gustaría poner descripciones con el bot, si me puedes ayudar te lo agradecería mucho, como habrás visto hay mucho por hacer. Sobre tu bot

Hola Estimado Kizar, conversando con un colega wikipedista nos ha surgido algunas duda sobre tu bot y en general sobre el funcionamiento de Wikidata. Me preguntaba si después que termines de hacer los traslados de Interwikis, tu bot seguirá haciendo lo mismo, por ejemplo, si alguien crea un artículo a la manera antigua. Me explico, supongamos que un usuario que antiguamente editaba en Wikipedia y dejó de hacerlo y un día le da por volver pero no se ha enterado de Wikidata, traduce un artículo de inglés a español, coloca la interwiki a la manera antigua y se va. Obviamente, la tarea de hacer el traslado de la Interwiki recien creada es automatizable, por lo que me pregunto si tu bot seguirá patrullando al final del proceso de traslados actual.

Mi segunda duda, es si esto se va a hacer igual en otros idiomas, como en inglés. Bueno, te deseo un feliz día. Jmvkrecords ⚜ Intra Talk 17:21, 17 March 2013 (UTC)

names and bot changes

It is possible but not a good idea. Many changes in article names are made because the name is incorrect and the wrong name would be moved to another site instead of fixed. There are bots importing redirections in the "also known as" field.--Kizar (talk) 15:18, 27 March 2013 (UTC)

Te escribo porque he visto que tu bot creó el elemento Q5724291 a raiz de que se creara la página en es:, pero ya existía un elemento que cubría lo mismo: Q738704. ¿Se puede evitar que pase esto y se añada el enlace al elemento ya creado? Lo entiendo. Quizás para encontrar estos casos y arreglarlos se podría hacer una lista de los elementos que solo tienen un enlace (a es:wiki para empezar) y con otro elemento en Wikidata con la misma etiqueta o con enlaces a otros idiomas iguales (aunque solo valdría para personas, especies y algún otro caso más); ¿se podría hacer algo parecido? General descriptions in Spanish

I'm ok with the fact that Wikidata items could have name and description in all languages, even without a Wikipedia page. What I think strange is to put a useless description: by useless, I mean that using the same description for all categories or templates doesn't seem useful at all, and rather counterproductive (more difficult to find Wikidata items without a description...). --NicoV (talk) 12:05, 22 April 2013 (UTC)

Labels in multiple languages

Error with bot importing of postal code

My bot is importing the commonscats from Wikipedia is not inventing anything. Is remaking the changes because when ends with a language begins with the following and the commonscat is wrong in both languages​​. Supongo que todos los bots que están agregando declaraciones las importan de las infoboxes en los artículos respectivos. ¿Conoces algún caso que no sea así? Es decir, algún bot que haya logrado extraer la declaración desde el cuerpo del artículo y no de la infobox. Mi pregunta viene a raíz de que existen muchos artículos que no cuentan con una infobox y sus elementos están casi sin declaraciones; en particular, me preocupa el caso de los artículos que solo existen en eswiki. Antes de pensar en soluciones, necesito saber si puede convertirse en un problema real (elementos que no tendrán declaraciones mientras no tengan una infobox). It would be of great value if you could add the value of the parameter "vapenbild" to P94 in sv:Template:Historisk kommun to the items here. Of cource, you have to make exceptions for such files as "Coats of arms of None.svg", who shouldn't be added here. Some did not have a coa, and some had, but we have no file for them (yet). Some of these can be the same file as is used in other items, but that is ok, since this is historical municipalities, where the coa has been reused by modern municipalities.

Other claims you can do in the same items are P107:q618123 and P17:Q34.

Something is still wrong. I just checked Q4335 (en:Pointe-au-Père, Quebec) and Q1853310 (en:Ondo City). The Wikipedia pages gives coordinates with a precision of 1 arch minute. Wikidata have no precision value (it is indicated as "null") See here and here. Byrial (talk) 10:43, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

I think there is a bug in precision. For example, if I chage the precision to "an arcsecond" in this item Q1476850 and I reaload the page the precision is still "1/1000 of an arcsecond". I started to fix previous issues but I stopped the bot because I can't see if the changes are correct because this problem.

For articles with coordinates in decimal, Sud-Est_Department (18.2333, -72.5333) (18°13'59.88"N, 72°31'59.88"W), I can round to seconds or minutes automaticaly but we are lossing precision... --Kizar (talk) 11:14, 20 June 2013 (UTC)

List of state leaders

Hello Kizar, somehow KLBot2 imported the German Lists of state leaders several times to the item one year higher like Q884771 being the item for 1666 and Q6640698 the one for 1665 the List of 1666 was then not imported because of conflict I suppose. Fight against your bot

Hello Kizar, your Bot added coordinate location (P625) to Microsoft (Q2283). I removed the coordinate because coordinates should only be added to objects with P107 (P107) = geographical feature (Q618123). Now the bot readded the statement and I removed it again. Dates in Julian / Gregorian calendar

I have just been going through a few popes, and I noticed that your bot has added dates of birth and death to them. Thank you, that is great! Unfortunately it adds them as Gregorian calendar even though they are Julian (which is especially funny for Pope Gregory XIII's date of birth, since he was the one to introduce the Gregorian calendar). I would like to ask you to please correct these dates and fix it for the future? (I corrected it from Pope Alexander VI (Q108316) to Pope Gregory XIII. Mistagged items

Hi Kizar, I think that on May 3, 2013 KLBot2 has mistagged a bunch of items with the main type Property:P107. On the Italian Wikipedia, Nati nel 1921 (Q3872131), Nati nel 1922 (Q3872132), etc. are lists of people born in such and such year and P107 should be changed to Property:P360 (is a list of). I did improve commons:template:NCBI to detect incohences with wikidata NCBI taxonomy ID (P685).
I think you have a bug in your bot: it retrieves the id for the genus Malaclemys (NCBI id:8484) when you are searching for the species Malaclemys terrapin (NCBI id:8485).
