Symmetric constraint where one is semi-protected

On item Iolaos (Q504076) addition of "unmarried partner" Heracles (Q122248) flags missing symmetric constraint on Hercules. I also added 2 references that are similar to the Iolaos Wikipedia page. Thanks. Just to clarify some points, in case they choose to join the discussion:

• It's fine to have different dates of birth/death for a person if that's what the sources provide. In the case at hand, sources give the date as a year, and the specific day is imported from a Wikipedia without sources.
• If one date is preferred (as more correct, or more specific), we can indicate this using rank (see Ranking).
• If a source gives a date as a year, it is incorrect to use that source to support a claim for a specific day.

fr translation link for Scottish tenor drum incorrect

I've notice the following problem and I haven't been able to fix it (and I am not sure what is the correct way to do so). On the the "Scottish tenor drum" page, the is a french translation linked to "caisse claire ecossaise". This in incorrect. "caisse claire ecossaise" describes the scottish snare drum, not the scottish tenor drum. I tried to change the link to (french) pipe-band (which mentioned the scottish tenor drum) but it has been rejected because there is already a link to this page. Profession and Finnish language

Good afternoon. When editing the article "professio" (it is "profession" in Finnish) in Finnish Wikipedia I noticed, that the article is not linked with articles from any other languages. At the same time Finnish article "ammatti" (it is "occupation" in Finnish) is linked with articles about the profession (Q28640) of other languages. I kindly request someone to change the linking of the Finnish article "professio" to profession (Q28640) and Finnish article "ammatti" to occupation (Q12737077). Back then the item was quite popular with spammers and so-called SEO experts, even with protection. These subjects are quite related and someone inexperienced with Wikidata can just switch around sitelinks wihout thinking about merging existing items, adjusting labels, descriptions (by app too, for such a general subject), etc. Not opposing lifting the protection, it's beging watched by 55 users. Thank you for your answer. I now understand why protection status is required. However, the linking of articles still needs fixing. I understand if you have some suspicions about my requests, as I am quite a new user. However, I am a native speaker of the Finnish language and also a Master of Social Sciences, and I am completely sure that the Finnish word "ammatti" does not mean profession. Profession (or professio in Finnish) is usually a prestigious and professionalized occupation with strict ethical standards, like the medical profession. If you check for example wiktionary, you can also see that the Finnish word "professio" is translated as "profession" in English. On the other hand, the Finnish word "ammatti" means any kind of occupation, vocation, or sometimes also profession. a Finnish person could for example say: "Ammatiltani olen putkimies" which means "My occupation is a plumber." But saying "Olen putkimiesprofession edustaja" which means "I am a member of the plumbing profession" would be ridiculous. On the other hand saying "Olen lääkäriprofession edustaja" which means "I am a member of the medical profession" would be a reasonable statement, just a little bit pompous. I hope someone could fix these links as I requested earlier. I understand if you still have suspicions about my intentions. That is indeed the user who uploaded those images so I have no reason to doubt it is Gretchen Andrew herself. She uploaded them with a creative commons licence which I don't believe can be revoked. I was trying to name Mehrdad Ziaei (Q97304686) as Mehrdad Ziaei but got an error message that it conflicts with Mehrdad Ziaei (Q5928951). Because they are about two actors with identical names. So, I named it as Mehrad (not Mehrdad) Ziaei for now.

What should I do?

While we should be wary of editors pushing a particular point of view, I am not seeing anything too problematic above. An official inquiry could certainly be regarded as a significant event, and a document could be a notable work of its author. The editor is rightly being careful to add references to each statement. I don't know what this user is saying... I have never been banned on Wikidata for any edit wars. The Spanish municipality of Atarfe has its own flag, which is in the Town Hall and there are several sources that say so, although it has not been officially approved. Paul Bilange, vous ne croyez pas à cette information sans ne pouvoir apporter aucune source allant dans votre sens. Votre croyance repose sur le fait que la mort de Vangelis n'est pas indiquée dans deces.matchid.io. Sur Wikipédia, plusieurs contributeurs ont indiqué que ce site peut avoir quelques mois de retard avant de voir apparaitre un décès. De toute façon, ce site est une source primaire ; il n'est pas conseillé de l'utiliser comme source. Donc faute de mieux, l'information de son lieu de mort est sourcée et vous vous évertuez à supprimer cette information sourcée.

Il y a donc deux possibilités, soit vous apportez une source indiquant un autre lieu de mort, auquel cas, on peut l'ajouter sur Wikidata, soit vous devez laisser l'information actuellement présente. Quoi qu'il en soit, pour mettre fin à la guerre d'édition, j'ai bloqué l'élément Wikidata en écriture afin de vous laisser le temps de réfléchir (et peut-être de voir Vangelis apparaitre dans deces.matchid.io).

• Most claims should have references, especially those that might be disputed. See References. In particular, if you have references, it is generally pointless to leave them in the edit summary.
• Both of you are hereby warned about edit warring. There is no point in this back and forth. If what you're doing doesn't work, try something different, like communicating with each other, or bringing in a third party.

Yep. They are claiming to be the executor of his estate, who somehow is passionate about all of the exact same things Rodhullandemu were interested in before being blocked and banned., but only got into editing WMF sites after the alleged death. I should add that his real identity is well known on Commons, his name is Phil Nash [27] and he lives in Liverpool, and he continues to have an online presence elsewhere in the time since the alleged date of his death. 3. Accept it based on assurances given (regarding removing sources on identifiers).
4. Request more assurances (regarding disruption in the project namespace).
5. Convert to a full, indefinite block.

OK, Gymnicus just requests that his block for Wikidata, Wikidata talk and user namespace should be removed. I would like to accept this request and give him another chance. If his behaviour is problematic again, he will be blocked indefinitely and completely and if everything is OK one can even consider to unblock completely after some time. For several weeks, this IP 84.69.148.130 has a disruptive hobby of changing names of nobility to non-standard, long labels which include title prefixes, country suffixes, etc. At least ten users reverted his changes in meanwhile, and three users in past 24 hours told him to stop it, including me.
