Welcome to Wikidata, LaMèreVeille!

Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

  • Introduction – An introduction to the project.
  • Wikidata tours – Interactive tutorials to show you how Wikidata works.
  • Community portal – The portal for community members.
  • User options – including the 'Babel' extension, to set your language preferences.
  • Contents – The main help page for editing and using the site.
  • Project chat – Discussions about the project.
  • Tools – A collection of user-developed tools to allow for easier completion of some tasks.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on Project chat. If you want to try out editing, you can use the sandbox to try. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and become an active editor for Wikidata.

Best regards! --VIGNERON (talk) 14:13, 31 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Rudolf Fueter

edit

Bonjour,

Tool of the week

  • Wikidata periodic table - Tool by User:Ricordisamoa, to browse all chemical elements available on Wikidata, with atomic number, chemical symbol, and localized label. It also includes two charts of the nuclides, with links to every isotope in Wikidata, colored by half-life or decay mode.

Other Noteworthy Stuff

  • A new UI mode is available for the online validator for EntitySchemas. It represents validation reports as a table rather than a very long string, and replaces most links with hyperlinks with some of the text behind them; making them easier to read. Currently being tested at https://shex-validator.toolforge.org/packages/shex-webapp/doc/shex-simple-improved.html, we are looking for participants to evaluate this tool. Some experience with editing Wikidata is appreciated, but no experience working with Schemas is required. If you are interested, you can sign up here. We hope to begin interviews around May 13. Please explain why you reverted my edit and restored the crippled version of the page. The IP removed sourced vital information. Bencemac (talk) 11:31, 1 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

szia Bencemac. It's about personal data, the date of birth is not public, the fact that the person received the French nationality by naturalization.also . the link to legifrance contains nothing about this person, and even if it did, it's a question of proportionality. Wikidata needs to respect GDPR rules. See https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Wikidata:WikiProject_Properties/Wikidata_properties_that_may_violate_privacy LaMèreVeille (talk) LaMèreVeille (talk) 11:07, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
I am sorry, but that is not how it works. The statements you removed are well sourced and the topic is clearly notable for the project. Wikidata is a secondary knowledge base, so we use information from external verifiable sources, complaints need to be made there. I have reinstalled the stable version of the concept, please review Wikidata:Living people. Bencemac (talk) 14:43, 2 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Kedves @Bencemac I'm also sorry but checking the source is always crucial. In this case https://www.legifrance.gouv.fr/jorf/jo/2011/10/19/0243, There's no mention on this person in this source,There's also personal data concerning her education that is not public and no sources about her naturalization. This is due to the fact that a contributor knew this person, I was already in contact with the foundation a few years ago concerning personal data and wikidata. And the problem is still relevant today, and even more so with AI data scraping.
Frenchl (talk) 02:11, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
Please follow the procedure outlined on the previously linked page and discuss the matter directly with the community. Frenchl, thanks for the French clarification! Bencemac (talk) 09:15, 4 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
