Østlandet Østre totning

edit

God ettermiddag! :o) Jon Harald Søby (talk) 21:38, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Jon Harald Søby: Bjørnson formulerte dette alternativet fyndigere: "Skitt i Norge, leve Toten!" Mvh Pmt (talk) 13:44, 6 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

"af Edeby" isn't a standalone family name

edit
Discussion moved from Talk:Q53657396. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 21:14, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Jon Harald Søby: "af Edeby" isn't a standalone family name. The whole surname is "Cruus af Edeby" or just Cruus. "af Edeby" is just a disambiguation to differentiate from other Cruus families.--Thurs (talk) 19:56, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

@Thurs: Thanks for the heads-up! It can be hard to tell with some of these "af" names – some work like standalone family names, and some work like what you describe here. I usually check the articles to be safe, but sometimes forget. I'll request deletion of this one, since the article for the person using it just uses "Cruus". If you would be up for the challenge, I could make a list of all other "af" names so you can check if they're correct or not, I have created a few in my work with surnames, and it would be good to get a second pair of eyes on them. (BTW, moving this discussion to my talk page just in case the talk page gets deleted when the item does.) Jon Harald Søby (talk) 21:14, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
I'm no expert on Swedish nobility either, but I can take a look if you post the list.--Thurs (talk) 21:21, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
@Thurs: Thanks! The list is in this query, there are 36 of them currently. Jon Harald Søby (talk) 21:36, 17 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
OK, I think these items have the same problem as "af Edeby":
Q41362881 af Blombacka -> Åkerhielm af Blombacka (Q10726317)
Q41364505 af Fulkila -> Munck af Fulkila (Q4307528)
Q53657369 af Flosta -> Cronhielm af Flosta (no own data item)
Q53657433 af Lindeberg -> Wrangel af Lindeberg (no own data item)
Q53657813 af Lundholm -> Gyllenstierna af Lundholm (no own data item)
