Ciao.
--Yiyi .... (talk!) 15:38, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Concordo. --Yiyi .... (talk!) 16:11, 16 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
--Yiyi .... (talk!) 09:52, 19 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
Grazie. Gli ho scritto. Vediamo cosa dicono. --Yiyi .... (talk!) 10:27, 20 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Archivio Storico Ricordi person ID

edit

Please be more careful adding the Archivio Storico Ricordi person ID to Wikidata entries. I just found about a dozen obvious errors where you added it to someone with the same name, but the wrong person. See: Wikidata:Database reports/items with P569 greater than P570 for obvious errors, some I already corrected. This search only finds obvious errors where a person died before they were born. Other errors may be more subtle. There are also lots of typographical errors in that database where the typist transposed numbers in dates so that 1875 become 1785 or they type 1975. --RAN (talk) 03:08, 10 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

I am still finding errors ... it would be nice if you acknowledged them and helped correct them. --RAN (talk) 18:55, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
Dear @Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ): I would really like to help but I cannot understand how. I gave a look to Wikidata:Database reports/items with P569 greater than P570 but there are not my contribution there. I matched over 2849 items with Archivio Storico Ricordi person ID. Do you think errors are so relevant? Could you help making a list? Thanks in advance Luckyz (talk) 19:27, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
My bad, I found errors on Q55007624,Q45420,Q75624136,Q13417700,Q140683,Q190933,Q55836554 and fixed. Luckyz (talk) 19:41, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply
  • Remember I am correcting them as I find them, that is why you may not see them in the list. Thanks for taking a look. When I find it is the wrong person, I make the correction. Also note that I found about two dozen examples of typographical errors in Archivio Storico Ricordi where they transposed numbers in a year where 1875 is typed in as 1975, for example. I mark their errors as deprecated and leave reason_for_deprecation=typographical_error. For example at Pietro Vallardi (Q55836554) why don't you make a second entry for the "Pietro Vallardi" mentioned in Archivio Storico Ricordi, so that someone in the future can find the one in Archivio Storico Ricordi? You can also add in all the ones that do not have entries like was done for "The Peerage" such as at Paul Lefebvre (Q75618761) the description is just the ID#. --RAN (talk) 20:13, 11 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Semantica delle relazioni

edit

  • il 21 gennaio tu aggiungi correttamente tramite MnM Italian Chamber of Deputies dati ID (P1341)
  • il 22 gennaio KrBot aggiunge occupation (P106)politician (Q82955) come implicazione di P1341 (ma l'implicazione non è del tutto vera: aver ricoperto una carica di "sottosegretario" senza essere mai stato eletto in Parlamento non credo consenta a una persona di essere definita "politico"; ho quindi rimosso il vincolo per evitare il ripetersi di casi simili);

ottima osservazione, mio errore, pensavo fossero tutti deputati. Ci guardo oggi. Luckyz (talk) 08:48, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply
Luckyz (talk) 22:05, 18 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

Instances and subclasses

edit

Hello, in general it does not make any sense to state that an item is both an instance and subclass of the same class, because these two concepts work on two different layers of abstraction.

E.g. if A is an instance of B and B is a subclass of C, then A will also be instance of C. If A is both instance and subclass of B, then it could be also instance of itself (?). --Horcrux (talk) 14:22, 10 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Horcrux:OK, thanks for the explanation. Luckyz (talk) 14:45, 10 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Capital letters in descriptions

edit

Hello, I'm Horcrux. In case you didn't know, descriptions begin with a lowercase letter except when uppercase would normally be required or expected. Essentially, you should pretend that the description is appearing in the middle of a normal sentence, and then follow normal language rules. Most terms would not be capitalized if they appeared in the middle of a sentence. However terms such as proper nouns (e.g. the names of specific people, specific places, and specific titles) should be capitalized. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks!  Horcrux (talk) 08:12, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Frazioni

edit

--Horcrux (talk) 08:14, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

--Horcrux (talk) 10:44, 21 July 2021 (UTC)Reply

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment

edit

Dear Luckyz,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards

Kholoudsaa (talk) 16:38, 3 January 2022 (UTC)Reply
